Please note: There is additional external access to the first floor.. In a secluded quiet area, down a country lane, you will find Lebberston Carr Farm Cottages. This former granary has been converted into two delightful holiday cottages, yet still retains many of its original features including the oak beams. Admire the wonderful far reaching views over the open countryside and enjoy this rural and peaceful setting. A great place for breaks all year around, as each property boasts a cosy wood burner, perfect to come home to and curl up in front of during winter, and an enclosed garden with hot tub to relax in. Walkers are spoilt for choice as the Wolds Way and Cleveland Way, enjoying stunning coastal scenery, are both close by. Filey is a short drive from the cottages with its fantastic beach and lovely promenade to walk along, and is a popular destination for those looking for a quiet seaside escape. Within a short drive you can visit Whitby, Scarborough, Flamborough Head and the traditional seaside resort of Bridlington. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is also close by, where you can catch the steam train and travel over the moors from Pickering to Whitby. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a few minutes drive away and here you will see puffins, gannets and kittiwakes to name a few of the thousands of migrating sea birds. As a base to see all that Yorkshire has to offer, Lebberston Carr Farm makes a perfect choice. Beach 2½ miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

I was a bit nervous that the property was double booked because there was a mix up about which cottage we were staying with the company booking it.The cottage was nice and roomy inside, but there were cobwebs so felt it hadn't had a proper clean.Shower was good, but the room needed a table/surface to put things on, so we had to put our items on the floor. The lighting was poor in there too.The bed was comfortable, but some of the windows didn't have blinds, so when dawn came it was light in the room.There were a lot of flies and because we cooked and had the patio doors open, they were everywhere. Thankfully a fly paper was supplied and it caught at least 40 of them.We tried the hot tub. The heat produced from the wood supplied wasn't enough to get it up to the temperature and we were told that it needed the same amount again of fuel to get it to that, so felt that the cottage came with a tub but to make it hot, extra expense was needed, so felt we were overcharged for the privilege of having one!There was not a folder for the appliances so we guessed how to use things - apart from the hot tub, many instructions for that.The weather was very hot and it would have been good to have had a fan supplied.In the kitchen it would have been good to have a hand towel as well as a tea towel (2 would have been nice). A cloth would have been nice to wipe the surfaces, but only a sponge was supplied.Overall we did enjoy our stay, but some things hadn't been thought through.
