This unspoiled resort has long been a favourite for families, and the wide promenade along the beach offers mini golf, paddling pool and cafes. Scarborough, 7 miles, has a colourful harbour, fishing trips, two wide sandy bays, Sea Life Centre, excellent theatre, restaurants and shopping. Historic seaport of Whitby, 28 miles. An excellent area for walkers, the Cleveland Way follows the cliff-top paths and inland the Wolds Way Walk meanders through the villages and farmland. North Moors National Park, 10 miles. Places of interest in the area include Sledmere and Burton Agnes Norman Manor House. Castle Howard, 35 miles. City of York, 40 miles. Shop 300 yards.

Fabulous Family Venue

Excellent family holiday accomodation. Plenty of room. Absolutely everything you would need for your stay. Space to be alone or mix with everyone. And loads of bathrooms. Just perfect. The play room was fantastic for the kids and we all loved the swings.

The bungalow was very spacious but a little tired.

The bungalow was very spacious but a little tired. It had everything that one needed to cater for the weeks holiday. The bungalow was for us located in-land from the coast between to good coastal towns of Filey and Scarborough. There was a bus stop outside the bungalow which allowed transport to the two coastal towns. The only minor comment was that we found the Chesterfield style settee uncomfortable to sit on for long evenings. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The bungalow itself is great in terms of size and equipment.

The bungalow itself is great in terms of size and equipment. However, it really needs a deep clean. There is dust and cobwebs everywhere and the carpet needed a good hoover - which we did. Also there is a massive fly problem. There were lots when we arrived and we managed to get rid of them, but we then had to keep the windows and doors shut so no more came in. The house was just surrounded by swarms of them.
