Immaculate Property/Great Staff

I highly recommend this property to travelers to Wilkes-Barre, PA. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculate. And breakfast is delicious. My traveling companion and I stayed here twice within ten days when we traveled from Florida to Maine and back, and if/when I make the trip again, I will once again reserve a room at this BW Plus hotel.

We had three rooms booked for our one-night stay to attend my wife's graduation. I alerted the front desk upon our departure about each room's issues and needed maintenance. One room had a toilet that leaked at the base. Another had a clogged (slow draining) sink, and despite being listed as non-smoking, smelled of cigarettes. The third smelled strongly of mildew. On the upside, the front desk staff were courteous and responsive. The breakfast was good.

My third stay at Gus Gianetti's Best Western and it was great as expected! My dog was welcomed and greeted by all staff. Rooms are a little older but well-kept and all was clean and tidy.

Overall, the stay and staff were nice, EXCEPT: my wife and I were having breakfast at the dining room this morning when the maitre d' put on a christian evangelist sermon on the TV for everyone to see and hear. It was highly inappropriate and offensive. We promptly left. I took the tip I was going to leave with me. There was also a lot of cigarette smoke smell in various areas of the motel throughout our stay.

Quick family trip

This was a short getaway. The hotel was very quiet and the staff was super helpful and friendly. The pool area was very clean and quiet even though it's in town. The breakfast was good and the staff kept it well stocked.

First, let me say the staff was exceptional! Upon arriving, a woman at the front desk did an excellent job of explaining everything and showed a genuine friendliness doing so. When it was time to check out, I was again greeted with smiles and happiness, by a different person. It makes such a difference when you've just spent hours driving to be greeted in such a welcoming manner! The breakfast was great with a nice variety of options to choose from. I found everything to be clean and was surprised by two bottles of cold water in the room fridge. That's such a nice touch! My only negative would be the bed as it left me pretty sore in the morning. Otherwise, this was one of my favorite places to stay.

The entrance was beautiful the room a little outdated. The carpet didnt appear to be vaccumed as there was small rubber bands and a artificial fingernail on the floor. The pool was nice, however it is small. Great location in regards to shopping and food locations. All really within walking distances

Overall stay was great and staff was great. Pool area could have been a little more cleaned up and organized but the pool itself was clean. Only negative was the site said there was a bar on the premises and there was not.

Fine but old

Everything was basically fine. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. But the hotel is definitely old and feels like it; the carpet in particular felt dirty and there was no AC in the hallway so it felt stuffy.
