We call our home Standing Wave. For us and our guests, staying here is a relaxing and tranquil experience. Things are calm and peaceful and yet filled with the excitement of the dramatic ocean views.

You won't believe the view, the peace & the serenity here! Come for a peaceful getaway. Enjoy all that this amazing coast has to offer. You can spend the entire day relaxing & whale watching in your private accommodations, or venture out to take full advantage of all that Sea Ranch has to offer...year-round, outdoor heated pools, hiking trails, tennis courts, and more views! You'll want to come back again & again!

Your accommodations will be in our guesthouse, on a gated, private Sea Ranch estate. We purchased this unique property because of the amazing location & privacy, and we love to share it with others. It is one of the largest oceanfront parcels at The Sea Ranch, with commanding views of the Pacific in all directions. The cottage is separated from the main house by a large meadow & rolling hills (see pictures). We are regularly treated to parades of whales & seals, deer migration, foxes, birds, and other abundant wildlife!

Your romantic cottage is studio-style, which is appointed with a wood burning fireplace, tall ceilings with open concept living & comfortable sleeping area. There is a large bathroom with double sinks, as well as a full wet room with double shower & large bathtub. The guesthouse has a kitchenette with cooktop, microwave & mini-fridge (no freezer and no oven). The entire cottage is bathed in natural light with large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ocean. And if you decide to venture outside, there is a private deck for dining, lounging, or whale watching.
Our customers tell us they can't get enough of this cottage's great location. During your stay, you'll be within walking distance of Black Point Beach. Enjoy features like an outdoor pool. Free WiFi and a jetted tub are available in the cottage.

We've never had our own private cove before. It was wonderful, as were the harbor seals, red-tailed hawks and gliding buzzards. The cabin was beautiful and very cozy. We will recommend it to friends. P.S. Be sure to visit the Sea Ranch Chapel.

Very, very special property...the epitome of modern serenity offering a spellbinding view of the breathtaking vistas Sea Ranch has to offer. All creature comforts accounted for, (and then some), and highly responsive hosts. Standing Wave is The Sea Ranch's Best Kept Secret!

This was the third (or fourth) time visiting the Standing Wave. It's a wonderful place to stay and enjoy my private Pacific Ocean view! Hosts Ivy and Brittany are wonderful hosts. Beyond words. We had high expectations but they were all surpassed. The views are stunning; the space is elegantly designed. We chose this for our 25th anniversary and were familiar with Sea Ranch but this place is the best. We felt transported as the view was incredible and the only sounds are the ocean and birds.

Weekend Getaway

Great location for a weekend getaway to relax or explore the northern Californian coast! Amazing views from the home. Only limiting factor is no oven but not a deal breaker if you keep cooking simple on the stove top.

Breathtaking Ocean View!

The Guest House is ideal for a quiet, scenic location. Just the perfect size and amenities for a party of two. The view that dominants the open space is spectacular, extremely private as well.Exploring the miles of walking trails, the unique and extremely beautiful chapel, and taking easy day trips up and down the coast created our perfect getaway.I would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful cozy cottage

Perfect location for a couple. The studio is well laid-out, and the extra-large bathroom allows plenty of room to spread out. The proximity of the Sea Ranch lodge permits quick trips for lattes and pastries in the morning.
