Ballard Abode is a bright cozy 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath townhome in the heart of historic Ballard. It is in excellent condition with tasteful furniture and decor and radiant floor heat. Relax in the living area next to the gas fireplace and prepare meals in the full kitchen if you decide to eat in. Or sit on the little balcony for some fresh air and the sounds of seagulls overhead. There is a garage for a compact car with washer and dryer as well as a small private landscaped backyard and patio. The townhouse sleeps 3 comfortably, 2 in a queen bed and 1 on the twin sofa bed. Less than 10 walking minutes away are three great grocery stores. Or walk to one of the many and varied nearby restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops to satisfy your hunger. Explore the colorful shops and boutiques just a few blocks away on Market Street and historic Ballard Avenue. Spend your Sunday wandering through the delightful Ballard Farmers Market that offers fresh organic foods and other interesting booths with unique wares for sale. Or venture a bit further to the famous Ballard Locks, Ballard Bridge, Green Lake, Fremont or Golden Gardens where you can enjoy the beach. Downtown Seattle is just minutes away with popular options for sightseeing including the Space Needle, the Music Experience and, of course, the famous Pike Market. Ballard Abode is on the bus line that goes directly to downtown. There are many neighborhoods around Seattle that were little towns before becoming part of greater Seattle. Ballard is one of these and so, it has a vibrant little downtown area that includes the Ballard Avenue Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Historically Ballard was a fishing village and still has many inhabitants of Nordic ancestry. Ballard is a great place to navigate from as you explore not only the sites in Seattle but also the San Juan Islands and the Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park. Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument is nearby. The Canadian cities of Vancouver and Victoria are not far away.
