Only 1.1 miles from the Sedbergh Golf Course and Sedbergh School it is also ideal for golfers or parents/friends of Sedbergh School. Enjoy stunning views of the Howgills from the patio and in winter cuddle up in front of the wood burner. In a cluster of three, the property includes its own half acre of securely fenced grounds, ideal for guests with dogs. Only a short walk from the town centre and equipped with superfast B4RN broadband it really does have everything you need for a great stay!
The Property:
This little gem has two bedrooms, both with luxury ensuite shower rooms, and spacious open-plan, single-level living. With private parking for 2-4 cars and secure gardens, including well-fenced paddock space ideal for off lead dog exercising, this wonderful family-friendly and dog-friendly retreat is the perfect base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales. A short walk into the beautiful town of Sedbergh takes you to restaurants, pubs, cafes, book and craft shops.
Herdwick Barn has a modern open-plan fully equipped kitchen; a comfortable and contemporary lounge with a Smart TV and welcoming multi fuel stove and a bright and light dining area with French doors opening to the patio – with dining and outdoor living furnishings - and garden. Both bedrooms and the lounge feature smart TVs. The home is beautifully appointed throughout with modern furnishings and décor items.
Outside, Herdwick Barn’s inviting patio is a sun trap – perfect for alfresco meals, morning coffee or sundowner drinks, and all of this overlooks a large, enclosed garden and paddock with expansive views of the surrounding meadows and the Howgill Fells. Views are there to be enjoyed at night too – as a designated ‘dark sky’ area, the big, beautiful sky at Herdwick puts on an unrivalled show of stars on a clear night.
Guest Verification and Good Housekeeping Bond or Waiver:
Once your booking is confirmed, we request a contact email address, mobile phone number and a photo of a Government ID as part of the guest verification process. Also, to encourage all guests to respect the property and its contents, we ask for a refundable Good Housekeeping Bond of £400 to be placed as a hold against a card by your card issuer, or alternatively, we allow guests to pay a non-refundable £40 Bond Waiver. Completing these two steps is mandatory as it allows access to your personalised Boarding Pass which provides all the details for your stay, advice about activities, electronic manuals, directions to the property and the latest key safe code. This Boarding Pass is provided in conjunction with Enso Connect.

Please leave the property in a similar state to when you arrived and lock all doors and windows.
