My husband and I found Jeju so oppressive and crowded that we were extremely grateful to be able to escape to the peace and tranquility of the Podo Hotel. The architecture and the surrounding nature were breathtaking! The staff was very good if somewhat reserved. We ate our dinners at the restaurant and we found the food superb! I would say the star of our trip to Jeju was Podo, not the island.

The place is absolutely amazing. The rooms are beyond beautiful and all details are thought through. The Onsen bathroom is the best. Only one minus: the restaurant on-site could be a little bit more tasty, especially since there is only that option and the coffee nicer. The only problems I had were the bar menu ( only wine, sake, and soju ) and my room's sliding doors' condition; I couldn't completely close the sliding door to the garden because the left side door was a little forward toward the interior side and it doesn't align with the right side door.
