During my stay, the presidential election was taking place, which made things even worse. Every morning starting at 7 a.m., loudspeakers blasted repetitive announcements that I couldn’t understand—but I believe they were related to the election. It was incredibly noisy and disruptive. On the last night of my trip, there was a massive political rally right outside the hotel, with thousands of people gathered and loud music or speeches going nonstop from 5 p.m. all the way until 4 a.m. I couldn’t sleep at all. Combined with the poor conditions and lack of basic service, I absolutely would not recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel, but 30 min from Seoul Station & Myeongdong area. We found ourselves going back and forth from this area during our 3 day stay in Seoul. On our 4th day we stayed at a hotel nearer to Seoul Station to get back to the airport in a timely manner. The area around the hotel is very quiet. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance but some close early if there’s no one there, so make sure it’s open if you plan on going. Overall, the property is beautiful, modern & classy but to be so far from the “busy” part of Seoul was a bummer. If you want a suburban feel & things to be quiet then this is probably for you.

Poor Check-in experience

Check in was a hassle. Very strict with 3pm check in, we arrived 2.20pm and said we are not allowed to check in yet even if room is ready. I asked for reconsideration, front desk agreed to 2.30pm and asked me to wait. So i literally stood in front of the check-in counter for 10 mins just to wait for 2.30pm to hit, then they allowed us to be check in. That is poor customer service for me, it is unnecessary to be that strict if you're in the hospitality business. Hotel is clean and new. It has a speakeasy bar on the ground floor. Location is good - infront of train station.

Great stay

Great room, great staff, great price, next to National Assembly. Staying for 2 weeks and really happy to have laundry in the unit. Honestly almost stayed at the Shilla and glad I didn’t. Spent way less in a quality hotel.

Hotel was great and the room was very nice. Tons of dining options that are all nearby. There’s a subway station basically across the street. Cabs as always around too if you prefer that mode of transport. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. The only issue with the property is the carpets in the area leading to the rooms on my floor should probably be replaced. It’s coming up in areas. Minor detail.
