Hotel is quite close with subway around 5 minute but it quit hard to find at first time arrive. Room in not too big as well but it enough for2-3 person for travel not spend time at hostle, valuable to book it

Location is walkable distance to metro but the surrounding doesn’t feel safe as we can see plenty of sleezy flyers on the floor. Room is small and dirty. Near the entrance is smoking area. Doesn’t smell nice.

Hotel Maui has a warm floor, so you'll never feel cold. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the place. They speak English reasonably well too!

Hotel was great in a good location near to subway station and bus for the airport, the receptionist was really always happy to help where needed. Place is a little dated from the pics but still really clean can’t really fault it

The room was generally clean. However the bed lining/blanket was slightly dirty with quite a number of stains. However, still bearable. Location wise, great. Near to main areas, easily accessible to main areas by bus about 10 mins walk away from hotel.

Wonderful budget hotel

Yes breakfast is basic and yes the towels are tiny but that's standard practice in South Korea. The rooms were clean and wifi was good, the bathroom is big and the shower was powerful. They have free laundry facilities and are perfectly located next to the subway station, what more could you ask for?

Cheap, clean, comfortable.

This is a basic but good hotel - it was clean and comfortable with basic amenities. The price reflects the overall offering. If you're looking for a cheap place to sleep for a night or so, this is clean, the staff were friendly, and it is pretty centrally located for sightseeing in old Seoul.

Good Hotel from price, location, & comfortability.

Hotel Maui is a nice and budget friendly hotel. If you're looking for a convenient place, cheap hotel yet comfortable then This hotel is recommended for you. Location is good bcoz they're near two subway stations (Dongmyo & Sinseol-dong) and bus stops, you can also walk through Dongdaemun if you want altho a bit far but still a walking distance. There's also convenient stores and shops/restaurants just outside the hotel and around it. Hotel staffs are nice and approachable. Very willing to help if you need some assistance. Room is clean and comfortable and spacious enough to move around, altho no side tables provided beside the bed, but there's sa desk/console table and ref under it. Toilet&Bathroom is also clean altho no bidet hose. Overall, I would rate Hotel Maui 4 out of 5. and I would recommend this to all travelers. We're a satisfied customer and had a comfortable stay at Hotel Maui.

Great value for money!

Hotel Maui is not a fancy or classy hotel, but it was certainly value for money. We appreciated the e-mail with accurate directions to get to the hotel since the location was not exactly tourist-friendly. The hotel itself was very basic, but at least clean and everything was in good working condition. There was; of course, free Wi-Fi and it was just a few minutes' walk to get to Dongmyo station and an Airport Bus Stop so that was also a big plus. The area is more an industrial area, but there were lots of good and cheap places to eat. The owners were very friendly. The day we were headed back to the airport, it was raining. The owner forced us to take an umbrella even if we weren't going to be able to return it. Don't expect your room to be cleaned everyday, or room service. Breakfast is also served a little late (9am - 10am) and there's only bread, butter, jam and coffee available, but for what you pay for the room, this is more a plus than a negative. Overall, I would recommend the hotel for anyone staying a few days in Seoul on a very tight budget.

We had a generally pleasant stay - 7nights..Nice location, near subway and bus station from-to airport..Room is very convenient for 2 persons, we stayed in 3rooms for 6pax and an addtl 1room for my relatives..Hotel needs to provide a toilet in the ground floor for usage of those checking-in and need to have some variety on the breakfast being served

Perfectly cozy

The rooms very cute and perfect for a place to get some shut-eye after a day of exploring. Located in Dongdaemun, the location is perfect and snug in the middle of lively Seoul. The closest subway 'Dongmyo' is just a 5min walk, and a 20min walk along the river takes you to the heart of Dongdaemun's shopping district. The staff are super friendly and go above and beyond to help and make your trip the best it can be.

Nice place for a few days in Seoul

We spent 3 nights at Maui during our extended visit to Korea. It apparently had recently changed ownership and name because my confirmation came with a different name of the hotel and they were still finishing some of the changes. I give them excellent ratings for the things they have done - fresh paint and new equipment in many of the rooms (our mini fridge and toilet still had labels on them and the walls were very clean. Of course the beds were typical Asian and I can't rate too highly on comfort for me, but the room itself was nicely sized with space between two twin beds and the extra small pillow was very much appreciated. This was easily the best of the hostels we stayed in and well worth the price. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but I could tell they offered more than toast and jam like some of the places call breakfast. I would recommend this location as being close to a taxi stand, but do understand it is off the main roads and a little tricky to find the first time. It was a few minutes to a primary bus stop but still not bad. Shops, restaurants and coffee shops within an easy walk; very popular Insa-dong tourist area just a short bus ride away. Small, functional elevator and easy access to each floor if you can't do a lot of steps. Laundry on roof does require one flight of steps to access. Give this option serious thought if you need a good spot for a few nights in Seoul.

お値段がとても安いので、それを踏まえれば満足です！シャワーもトイレも付いているので泊まるだけならとても良いです。ロビーは家のような感じでスタッフさんがくつろいでました。だいたいロビーにスタッフさんはいないのでセルフという感じです。バスタオルもセルフでロビーから持っていきます。

徒歩3分くらいの場所に２ヶ所バス停あり。明洞やソウル駅、梨泰院方面にも行けるので地下鉄よりも便利です。 朝食は、期待出来ません。 タオルはフェイスタオルが1枚あるだけです。 価格を考えれば充分許容範囲なので、買い物目的ならリピありです。

衛生一般，員工散慢，只顧聊天忘記清潔房間。名為酒店，但比旅館更不堪。設備十分簡陋，廁所排水淤塞。同樣價錢一定有更好選擇。
