Good Hotel, Disappointing Breakfast

The hotel's location is convenient: you can access COEX without exiting the building (good for those awful rainy days in Seoul). The room was huge, with all the amenities one could want. It was quite clean, although a bit outdated. The view from the 15th floor was great. The staff was nice and helpful, especially Summer and Lucas. However, breakfast was a disappointment. Very few vegan options, which aren't clearly indicated. No vegan cheese, butter/margarine, or sweets. Staff wasn't helpful at all and did not really try to help. In an international hotel of this price range, such an attitude toward vegans is quite discouraging. I would love to stay there again, but I would have my breakfasts elsewhere.

Oakwood Premier Coex is at a prime location in Seoul. It connects to the STARFIELD mall and Hyundai department store for ease of access to dining options and shopping. It also is a complex that connects to Samseong station and Bongeunsa subway stations for ease of transportation. An added plus is its proximity to City Airport Terminal where you can get airport shuttles straight to ICN within 90 minutes. We stayed at the two bedroom superior for two weeks. The room was spacious and had a separate second bedroom for our child which was great. The floor plan is spacious and has its own kitchen and laundry machines to make it great for temporary serviced apartment style living. All that said, we thought the rooms were quite dated, but reasonable for the price point. We did have a case where our first room’s AC unit was leaking, and had to go through the hassle of changing rooms. The room change also took awhile which was annoying. The second room also had to go through some fiddling with the AC unit to make sure the room AC units worked. It looked like the previous tenant chose to shut off the room AC, and the staff was not aware. Lastly we had an incident where the house keeping staff mistakenly took our child’s stuffed animal together with her bed sheets. It was returned after a day. I can’t say that is an experience I’ve had before. I am hoping it’s an unlucky chain of events for us. Overall though the stay was comfortable for us, and was a good home base for our travels.

Upmarket older decor style hotel with bakery attached and Coex Mall just outside the main entrance. Beds big and comfortable. Kitchen facilities and laundry. Family of 4 stayed with 2 bathrooms plenty of space. Two big TVs. Just a bit pricey.

We booked the 2 -bedroom suite and it was amazing. The staff at the front desk were helpful. The rooms were cleaned everyday, trash bin in the kitchen had segregation for recycling, regular trash, and food wastes. We used the kitchen a lot to make ramyeon or heat up left overs and was equipped with a full-sized refrigerator with freezer. My kids love banana milk and iced coffee so we would buy them from the convenience store downstairs and would put them in the fridge so they can have them anytime. The hotel has a passage on the basement level to get to COEX mall. It was super convenient as the girls would just go shopping on their own while I get some work done. Yes, there are 2 huge desk areas in the suite where I can setup my laptop with 2 extended monitors. There were only a couple of regular power outlets while the rest was type E/F plugs so make sure to bring adapters. The suite was also equipped with washer-dryer combo but it took 3 hrs to do 1 load and clothes come out still very damp so you’d still have to hang them; they have a drying rack available as well. And the bidet in the master bathroom had different options to suit your tush, LOL! I wished they had installed one in the guest bathroom also. Also, the shower has a steam room which we’ve used everyday! With all the amenities in out hotel suite, it sure was tough leaving Korea! We will definitely come back to this hotel!

Its just a top notch 5 star hotel. And the staff are phenomenal. I forgot my backpack in a taxi! It had my laptop, passport and wallet. The staff made calls and stayed with me for more than 3 hours until the driver was located and returned the backpack with all contents! The moral compass of South Koreans should never be understated.

Great place.

Excellent front office staff, both and check in and check out. Restaurant was good, and excellent service. Fantastic location when visiting COEX with easy access from/to Incheon airport.
