Welcome to Smokies Pond Haus
At 575 square feet, Smokies Pond Haus is a small but mighty thoughtfully designed tiny home perched high on stilts with unobstructed pond views from nearly every angle. And we mean unobstructed. There are no curtains here by design, so the pond, the trees, and the natural light are always part of the experience.
Distance from local areas:
Great Smoky Mountains National Park — ~13 miles
Gatlinburg — 20 minutes
Pigeon Forge & Dollywood — 15 minutes
Sevierville dining and grocery stores — 10 minutes
Sleeping Arrangements
We sleep up to 4 guests with a king bed and a pull-out sofa bed. A pack n play is also available and stored in the front closet.
The Pond
Pond views follow you throughout the entire home from the moment you wake up to the moment you fall asleep.
Beyond the views, the pond is made to be enjoyed up close. A walking trail wraps around the entire perimeter with benches along the way and a swinging bench perfectly positioned for taking it all in. When you are ready to get out on the water, a dock with built-in seating is waiting for you and a ladder makes getting in and out of the water easy.
Swimming is permitted at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty, no diving or jumping, and children must be supervised near the water at all times.
The pond is a natural body of water, and like all things in nature, it has a personality of its own. Depending on the season, recent rainfall, and temperature, you may notice changes in the water level, color, or clarity throughout the year which is completely normal and part of what makes it so beautifully alive.
Hot Tub
The hot tub sits on the deck overlooking the pond and is available anytime throughout your stay. The water is fully drained and freshly refilled before every single guest .
Barrel Sauna
Use it wet or dry, fire it up and let the mountain air cool you down between rounds. There is truly nothing like it after a long day on the trails.
Fire Pit
Gather around the fire pit as the sun goes down and the stars come out over the pond. Please note that wood and fire starter are not provided.

A Note About the Neighborhood
We want to be upfront with you before you book. There is currently active construction on a neighboring property. During daytime hours you may occasionally hear typical construction sounds like nail guns, hammers, and music from the crew.
We do not have a confirmed end date for the work, so we are disclosing this out of transparency for guests booking in the near term. If you are a light sleeper or are specifically seeking silence, please keep this in mind when booking.
The Location
All roads to the property are fully paved. The driveway is gravel but flat. No mountain switchbacks, no stress.
A Few Things to Know
This home runs on well water and a septic system. The water is safe for bathing and dishes; we recommend bottled water for drinking. We are on a septic system, so only toilet paper goes down the drains.
We are in bear country although not a common sighting here, but all trash must go in the designated bear-proof trash can.
The home sits about 25 steps up from ground level. These steps are what give you those incredible elevated pond views, but please keep this in mind if anyone in your group has mobility concerns.
Getting Here
All roads to the property are paved so no steep mountain driving required. Our gravel driveway is flat and easy for any vehicle. Look for our sign at the entrance. Parking for 2–3 cars on the property.
