No one was ever on property all afternoon or evening. They left a number to call. No answer no return call . Finally hours later we reach someone and they told us they left our key in the red lock box. Well would have been nice to know and how to get in the box . Does no good if you don’t know or know code . Finally got in . Room was stuffy like has not been open in weeks . Carpet nasty. Outlets didn’t work . Room dark with no lamps , very little lighting not worth $200 plus . Only good thing beds were decent

Very clean and adequate room with refrigerator. Good location with a short walk to the Seward Harbor area and a 20 minute drive to the Kenai Fjords Exit Glacier trailhead. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful reception (Diana). It was a minimalist facility, so there is no exercise room or guest laundry, but it was not a problem. It has a quaint 24 hour coffee room adjacent to the check-in lobby. My group enjoyed our stay here.

Steep three steps to get to my ‘ground’ room had a broken handrail (& a broken towel bar). The outside broken handrail base was held upright with rocks at the base. You can see the wood is rotten & they are trying to hide it. I almost fell twice going down the steep stairs. FIX IT!

Only reason be took a hotel, we just came out of a backpacking trip from Denali. So we were craving a hot shower. We got hot water for 15 sec and then it turned cold, then it got warm again for 15 seconds and so forth. The bathroom was so narrow you had to sit sideways on the toilet. The bathroom was very tired, the bedroom was better, at least it was spacy. It seemed clean, but usually a tired looking room also makes it look dirty.

Tough to assess. The property was close to where we needed to be. The folks working there were super nice and efficient. Room was a bit worn, but probably par for the course in Seward. Quick checkin and checkout. But this hotel was full of freakin' right-wing, Trump-lovin' white trash that felt obligated to party oitside their rooms until midnight. Not sure if i was in Alaska or Arkansas. But I cant hold the hotel responsible for their low IQ clientele.

We could not possibly have stayed in the room we had booked due to the faulty lighting. One light didn't work and the other was a headache inducing striplight that constantly flashed. Unfortunately, there was no maintenance person or manager on site to deal with it and all other rooms were full. Eventually, we received a refund and managed to fund another place to stay.

Mixed, But I’d Come Back

I stayed here because it is just steps from the train depot. Check in was very friendly. Bed is Good. Room needs maintenance. Ni housekeeping during my four nights here. (That’s fine with me.) Best soup and hot dogs in town right across the street.

Staff was extremely accommodating, kind & wonderful. Marina Motel is a one story building - so no stair which is great for us older people. They have a small coffee station available stocked with Keurig coffee, hot cocoa, & tea. Diana took extra time to help us which we really appreciated.

Noisy parking lot , too hot in room and can’t adjust temperature, knob fell off tub faucet, tub and sink very slow to drain, shower head pointed to wall and not adjustable. Terrible accommodations and way too expensive!
