We had issues

Everything would have been great....except we had issues with the internet...which was easily resolved. Biggest frustration was the fact that the hot water heater (tankless) would turn off intermittently in the middle of rinsing the dishes...and when taking a shower. The hot water would turn ice cold...and then get real hot! Other than that...the place was very nice!

Communication

Site stated laundry available but they neglected to say it costs $3 for washing and $3 for drying and they only take quarters without a bill changer. I attempted to contact manager about getting change and they did not get back with me until 11:35 pm. Your site should let visitors know to bring coins if they want to do laundry. None of the other house charge for laundry service.

Quiet getaway

This cabin was clean, comfortable, and in a quiet neighborhood a few miles outside of town. Would have enjoyed the fire pit if the weather had cooperated! Would definitely return to this cabin if in the area again.

Although it mostly drizzled during our 2-day stay it was a most comfortable and pleasant stay at this lovely cabin. Loved the location about 7 minutes out of Seward. Would definitely stay there again.

cabin in woods

Lovely and cozy stay in Seward - this cabin is nestled in tall trees and off the beaten path. The bed was super comfortable and amenities great. It is a bit out of town, but very restful. The only suggestion is handrails for the small steps outside to get in. Once in, it is fully enclosed on one level.

Cozy Cabin

Hubby and I stayed in the Sitka Cabin for 8 days and LOVED it! Location to Seward is just a short 10 min drive. Cabin was well stocked with coffee, spices for cooking, dishes and paper products. WiFi was amazingly fast. And it was great to have a "communal" fire pit, grilling, picnic table area to enjoy meeting others staying in the 4 cabins. The owner, Blaine, was friendly and helpful with any questions we had. It was such a beautiful stay that we hope to go back again sometime.

Nice place, reminds me of a shed

The place was clean. To me it looked like a renovated shed. I didn't like having to brush my teeth, wash my hands in kitchen sink. I must of missed that part in info section. The mirror in the bathroom is to high for a 5'3 person. The only other issue is, you can't have ceiling fan on at night, unless you want the kitchen light on to. They should be on separate switches. I felt the communication was very slow going with owner. I'd text and not hear back for 5 or 6 hours or longer. I'm not sure if I'd stay here again.

Great Seward stay

This little cabin - almost a "tiny house" - was perfect for our 5 days in Seward. Location is out of the traffic of town but close enough to allow us to get to town in under 15 minutes for our early morning fishing charters. Directions to the cabin were clear but definitely follow Blaine's written directions as I doubt GPS would be accurate. The kitchen has all the basics and we were able to cook a meal or two every day. Hot water is on demand and plentiful. Shower was excellent. The only slightly odd aspect is that there is no sink in the bathroom but the kitchen sink is just two steps away. That arrangement works fine. There is a charcoal grill just outside and previous guests left sufficient charcoal for several grillings. Comfortable cabin for two.

Wonderful cabin!

Located conveniently outside of Seward, it felt like a remote getaway even though it wasn't a long drive to anywhere we wanted to go. While a small cabin, it was perfectly fine for three of us, as the couch was very comfortable for our daughter. In fact, the couch was comfortable for both sitting and sleeping. All the amenities we needed were there, and the library, guest log, furnishings, and décor were all beautifully considered. I wish we had been able to stay there longer, but our plans only allowed for three nights, but we would have been happy to stay for a week or more. It was definitely better than a hotel, particularly since its daily rate was similar to what we would have paid "downtown," but it is a far better value since it has a kitchen. For those staying a few days or more, having all means be "eating out" gets expensive (and can also be tiring to plan). The host was responsive and easy to reach, too.

Sitka Cabin

The Sitka cabin was very comfortable, clean and tidy. It is nestled about 0.5 miles off the Seward Hwy which allowed quiet and privacy. We spent most of our days in town and it was nice to get away from everything to rest and recharge.
