The Space:

Dogwood Retreat offers a comfortable two-level layout designed for both privacy and gathering. Upstairs you’ll find three cozy bedrooms and one full bathroom, providing a quiet sleeping area away from the main living space. Downstairs, accessible by a spiral staircase, features a welcoming living room, fully updated kitchen, additional bathroom, laundry area, and pantry for extended stays. The entire cabin has been beautifully renovated and thoughtfully updated to blend modern comfort with mountain charm.

We do not provide propane for the BBQ- please keep this in mind.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the cabin- not the garage.



The Neighborhood:

Lower Dogwood is one of Shaver Lake’s most desirable neighborhoods, known for its peaceful mountain setting, elevated views, and convenient access to town and the lake. This area offers a perfect balance of privacy and accessibility, with quiet streets, tall pines, and stunning natural scenery. Guests love Lower Dogwood for its relaxed atmosphere, easy year-round access, and close proximity to outdoor recreation, dining, and shopping.



Getting Around:

Shaver Lake is a mountain community where having a vehicle is necessary. There is no public transportation or rideshare service in the area. Guests should plan to arrive by car to access the lake, dining, shopping, hiking trails, and nearby attractions. During winter months, AWD or 4WD may be required depending on weather conditions.



Other Things to Note:

This is a mountain property — wildlife such as deer and bears are common. Please secure all food and trash properly.

• Snow conditions may require AWD/4WD or chains during winter months.

• The cabin features a spiral staircase between floors, which may not be suitable for small children or guests with mobility concerns.

• Quiet hours are observed to respect neighboring homes.

• No parties, events, or smoking inside the cabin.

• Cell service may be limited depending on your carrier (WiFi is provided).

• Outdoor temperatures can drop quickly at night — please plan accordingly.



Interaction with Guests:

I’m a local host and live just about a mile away, so I’m nearby if anything is needed during your stay. While you’ll enjoy complete privacy, I’m always available by message and happy to help if anything comes up.

This cabin offers its guests barbecue grills. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Shaver Lake cabin is smoke free.
