There is no onsite parking which is a bit of a drawback, but not unexpected in a city centre hotel. The room was spacious but cold, increased by the bare floors I think. There was a mix up with breakfast, so I can’t comment on restaurant or food. The communal area downstairs did not feel welcoming. There was a problem with all the televisions which was remedied, but I had to go to reception to find out what was wrong. We were given drinks vouchers as recompense, so a thoughtful touch by the staff.

The room was clean and stuff very nice. The hotel however, was very difficult to locate by car.. but I realise it is on a pedestrian section of the city because of road closures. It was quite hard to get close to the hotel to drop off stuff.

The staff were lovely, the breakfast was good and the bed was comfy. We booked well in advance and the price for a Friday/Saturday night stay was good too. Great location. However the ‘Superior’ room was half empty. The rooms had clearly been designed for a much higher standard with space for a fitted wardrobe and other amenities. The bed was small, the ironing board was only suitable for smallish children to use and the bathroom was very poorly designed. A real shame as it seems to have been let down by bizarre design decisions. A third of the room space was wasted. Very low grade tea/coffee facilities. Premier Inn room standards frankly better. So, yes, stay here, but prepared to be underwhelmed.

This hotel is fresh and modern. All aspects of the hotel are warm and inviting. The food is good and there is a lot of variety at breakfast. The room I stayed in was very clean and felt airy as the ceiling was quite high. Parking is easy and convenient, this includes a discount when booked 48 hours on advance. I really do recommend this hotel.
