This was not our first stay ar The Renishaw. Unfortunately this time we were let down by a fault with the bathroom shower which we didn't notice until the morning of our departure. Very disappointing. We informed the staff as we left. Though very courteous they simply said they would have it looked at.

We had a wonderful stay at The Renishaw, the room was clean and fresh, everything we needed for our stay. The room was nice and warm and a comfortable bed. The only slight negative - car park floods terribly right by the entrance when it rains so beware of this. We also had a cheeky breakfast as it was a Saturday stay, the staff could not have done more , very accomodating and the food was great .

Staff lovely, room clean and well furnished. Unfortunately it was freezing, far too cold to attempt a shower! Woke up early and by 6.30 escaped to the warmth of the car and home by 9am.

We stayed in room 6, a twin room. Overall we had a good stay with the following comments: Plus points: 1. Large well decorated comfortable room, 2. Comfortable beds with good quality bedding. 3. Good tea and coffee making facilities. 4. Good size shower room with plenty of hot water. 5. USB charging points by beds. 6. Good quality bath towels. 7. Free parking and located close to the M1 motorway. Negative points: 1. Room heating timings centrally controlled, room was cold at times. No auxiliary heating in the room. 2. Exhaust fan in shower room very dusty with cobwebs. 3. Shower mixer valve not working, only hot water available. 4. Breakfast only available on a Sunday. This hotel is a good option for an over-night stay when travelling.

NIc and her team were fantastic! We were made to feel really welcome on our first stay at the hotel. Food is fantastic and the portions are on the larger size! Good bar too. Our room was spacious and clean. Car park is a good size too. Location is excellent for the M1 (J30), Chesterfield, Sheffield and surrounding areas. Will definitely go there again the next time we're in the area.

Room would benefit from a couple of tumblers. 1 in the bathroom and 1 by the tea tray. Room cold as the heater is small. Shower controls need explanation (discovered that the hot water takes some time to come through). A previous guest mentioned the water logged car park but this only applies if it has rained!
