The beautiful beaches of Sheringham and West Runton are excellent for bathing and building sandcastles. The North Norfolk Railway, a preserved steam railway, offers trips from Sheringham to Weybourne and Holt throughout the summer. RSPB nature and bird reserves, coastal path or walking and bird watching opportunities are nearby. National Trust Sheringham Park is close by.

Felbrigg and Blickling Halls (National Trust) are a short drive away. Within an hour’s drive is Norwich, with its excellent shopping, theatre, castle museum, cinema, restaurants and cafés. Wroxham, capital of the Norfolk Broads, has daily boat hire, river trips, waterside cafés, restaurants and shops.
