A taste of country life

I absolutely loved my stay here. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and I would definitely stay here again. My only complaint was the hotel's internet was practically unusable.

Our stay at Farmstead Inn was fabulous. The staff was very friendly, the property was clean, breakfast was great, & it’s conveniently located in the heart of Shipshewana. We will for sure return for another stay.

Good first experience.

First time stay at the Farmstead hotel. It was nothing extravagant but very clean and comfortable. Very roomy. Breakfast was hot and good. I thought it was a little pricey for how basic, but I would stay there again. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

My best friend and I had a much needed girls time away. We had a MARVELOUS time at the Farmstead Inn! Everything was perfect! The room, the queen beds, the pool/hot tub area, the food, the staff members... I cant say enough good things about this establishment! A definite must to stay there!

We had a great stay. We're a family of 4, we got a classic room, 2 Queen beds, there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool area is an amazing experience for a family with something for everyone, a large pool, a kiddie pool and a large hot tub! The breakfast was an exceptional breakfast for a hotel! The best hotel breakfast i have ever had!!

Minor issues, but annoying.

We arrived Thursday evening for a 2 night stay. Check in was smooth, we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, basketball court and ping pong. The wall paper was peeling in the bathroom. We moved the recliners around and you can tell they haven’t been moved and vacuumed around in a bit. Our heat wasn’t working properly and we called the front desk at 11 pm and no one answered. Friday morning I received a call at 9:00am and at the same time a knock on the door from housekeeping. They said I had turned in the keys to the room. I said no I didn’t I’m here for another night. They asked if someone else had turned them in. I said no and showed them the room keys. Now I had a do not disturb sign on my door. That did not deter them. Also they were refurbishing the room across the hall from mine and he was in there using power tools all day. This place is HUGE. Why would they put someone in a room across from that noise? Saturday morning my son was awakened at 8:30 to the housekeeper vacuuming the room next door to us. We travel a lot and have never had that happen. I don’t think we will stay here again.
