We own and manage a short term rental and we were surprised and disappointed by this units shortcomings. Pros: very clean, decent amount of space, short, walk to beach, staff. Cons: Listing showed many inaccurate photos of the much better actual beach view unit next door. This really felt like false advertising and we would not have rented the unit if the photos had been accurate. Very high cleaning fee. You’re required to pay a daily resort fee even if you don’t use the pool (it’s about 1/2 mile away at another property and you’re paying for access so that’s hardly an included amenity). The other items included in their justification for the resort fee are a joke for example “beach access” the trail you use to get to the beach is the public access trail. Resort fee is clearly a money grab. The required in-person check in process was inconvenient and unnecessary. The extra deposit was excessive. The unit was not in great shape-there was a foundation jack holding up part of the units stairwell? Several hills in the floor also suggesting possible structural issues. The windows were either poorly sealed or single pane as you could hear words said by a person walking by on the sidewalk and all cars passing by. Dishwasher was broken in several ways. Absence of basic amenities like salt, pepper, coffee filters were inconvenient and amplified the stingy vibe. Unfortunately we would recommend staying elsewhere.
