Wonderful Stay in Forge Philip

If you're in search of a holiday retreat that feels more like stepping into a painter's masterpiece than just another getaway, look no further than this enchanting farmhouse in Forge Philip. Lei, our gracious host, struck the perfect balance between being available when needed and giving us the freedom to soak in the tranquillity of this hidden gem. With a wealth of fascinating tales and local lore, Lei added a rich layer to our experience that you can't get from a guidebook. The house is in an idyllic location with lovely walking routes, beautiful views, and charming little attractions nearby. Since returning, I miss the peaceful view of the forest from the back of the property. Inside, the old farmhouse was spacious and clean, with all the amenities needed for a family to enjoy time together. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was handy, and the garden was a perfect spot to unwind. Overall, Forge Philip is a fantastic place for a relaxing holiday. It’s a place where you can make great memories, enjoy nature, and really unwind. Highly recommended!

Het is een heerlijk rustig verblijf, wel is het huisje gedateerd. Een afwas machine zou handig zijn.

Het verblijf was prima, de Eigennaar is zeer aardig. Enkel heeft de eigenaar een hondje en die loopt vrij op het erf. Als je dus zelf een huis dier mee neemt dient hier dus rekening mee gehouden te worden. De eigenaar verwacht dat je deze dus aan de lijn doet buiten het huis. Het is dus iets om rekening mee te houden.

Voor twee personen is dit huis zeer ruim. Goed uitgeruste keuken. De slaapkamer waar wij sliepen stonden twee boxspring bedden. Prima geslapen.

Zeer plezierig verblijf in een ruime woning met vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer + -vrouw

Zeer prettig contact (nederlandstalig) met de gastheer. Alles netjes geregeld en bij aankomst hartelijk ontvangen. Vragen werden direct beantwoord en (kleine) gebreken (bijvoorbeeld lege gasfles en lekkende doucheslang) werden indien mogelijk direct verholpen en anders een zo snel mogelijk. De verhuurders verblijven in de aangrenzende woning, maar je hebt alle privacy. Al met al een zeer prettig verblijf en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. De woning biedt alle rust en ruimte (met onder andere 2 woonkamers en ruime slaapkamers). Qua telefoon is de dekking nihil, dus ook daar wordt je weinig door gestoord. Er is wifi, maar snelheid is beperkt, dus niet geschikt voor gaming of streamen. De TV is alleen voor de DVD.

Comfortable house in nature/ Gastvrijverblijf in de natuur

We enjoyed a fantastic week in this renovated farmhouse! The host was very friendly and welcoming! He had fantastic suggestions for hiking, museums, restaurants and markets in the area! Very helpful! A lot of space in the house- nice big terras- comfortable beds! Great place for a family getaway!
