Perched above Sisteron, at the entrance of the Jabron valley, this fully renovated former sheepfold is a characterful refuge where stone and vaults combine with modern comfort. People come here as a tribe to share long tables under the trees, enjoy a 10x4 m pool facing the mountains, and savor the silence of nature.
The house is organized around generous living spaces: a superb vaulted dining room to gather everyone, a warm living room with natural tones for relaxed evenings, and an authentic kitchen (concrete countertops, large cooking piano) that makes you want to cook local before lighting the plancha. On the leisure side, the vaulted game room sets the mood with billiards, foosball, DVDs, and board games; outside, a suspended hammock seat invites a nap in the shade.
Designed to accommodate up to 16 people, it offers an ideal configuration for families and groups of friends: four rooms with double beds, one room with three single beds, and one room with two single beds, served by two bathrooms and three toilets. The rooms, sober and bright, open their windows to the garrigue and distant ridges; the fuel heating ensures perfect comfort off-season.
The land, a true belvedere, unfolds several terraces and long wooden tables for breakfast at sunrise, lunch in the shade of leaves, and dinner under a starry sky. The pool (secured in a fenced area with child safety and rolling shutter) becomes the afternoon rallying point, with the valley as the horizon.
To know for a serene stay: tap water is not drinkable; it is suitable for showering and dishwashing, but please bring your drinking and cooking water. Access is via a drivable track in a standard vehicle, driving slowly; very low vehicles are not recommended.
