The Music House - a spacious pool villa with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea

The Music House is on the island of Skopelos. A large, shady terrace above the swimming pool catches a gentle breeze and overlooks the blue Aegean and the islands of Skiathos and Evia. In the evening it offers romantic views of beautiful sunsets.

The house is set on the edge of the village of Palio Klima on the North West of the island, a village of traditional Skopelos houses, many of which have been sensitively restored. In front of the house are olive groves which stretch right down the hill to the sea. Around the house and pool are pomegranate, lemon, orange, plum and almond trees. Cars are not allowed into the narrow village streets, making for a holiday free of the noise of car engines and beeping horns.

The Music House is a two storey house, with a spacious, stone-floored and fully equipped kitchen downstairs. Opening off this is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Upstairs is a large sitting room, and a room with two sets of bunkbeds, sleeping 4, and a bathroom across a small, private courtyard. The ground floor opens on to an expansive terrace with a panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the island of Skiathos, and below that is a swimming pool with another smaller terrace. Extending below the swimming pool is a garden with an olive grove and fruit trees.

The island offers a choice of many beaches, from the quiet, secluded unspoiled to those with busy beach bars. The nearest town, Glossa, has several shops and restaurants, perfect for a quiet evening walk and meal at the top of the town with fantastic views of the sunset. For a greater selection, the main town of the island, Skopelos, has a wide range of enticing shops and restaurants and is about a 30 minute drive from the house. There are also regular buses from one end of the island to the other, stopping at all major beaches on the way, making it an option to not hire a car during the peak season if you prefer.

Direct flights can be obtained from an extensive selection of airports in the UK and Europe to Skiathos, the island next to Skopelos, from where several boats per day operate to Glossa, the closest port to The Music House. It is also possible to reach the island via Athens, Thessaloniki or Volos.

Please note that access to the villa involves a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest car parking, and access to the house is down uneven steps - do bear this in mind in cases of bad knees and infirmity!

As a guest of this villa, you'll find an outdoor pool, a garden, and laundry facilities. The front desk is open around the clock.
