Modern functional hotel in a good base to explore Malta. What needs improvement: first impressions when we arrived the music from the bars was so loud we couldn’t hardly hear the receptionist and he made no reference or apology for this. Luckily it was only very loud on Saturday night and I packed ear plugs- perhaps offer these in each room to guests. The room was serviced daily and kept clean and tidy, we stayed for a week though and after a few days the window and balcony was dirty due to high winds blowing up dirt, it would have been nice for this to have been recognised and cleaned. Also due to high winds the hot tub cover kept blowing off and smashing against the window. The straps on the cover need fixing. The breakfast ingredients were of poor quality, I regretted booking breakfast as we ate out twice just for better produce and more variety- every day was the same. The smell is the reception area is like sewerage and needs to be investigated as it’s very off putting. All in all a functional hotel but overpriced for what it was.

Nice central location, room and view were very nice, as advertised. The windows in our room were good at blocking out sound, which is important since the pub on the ground floor can be quite noisy at night. But all in all a very pleasant experience.

the hotel is in nice location and easy excess to many sightseeing locations. However, the area is really noise, the bed is supper hard ( feels like you sleep on wooden planks, and way to narrow even for an average person, pillows are made of rocks).

The Londoner is in a great location. Although it’s on a busy road and below bars and restaurants, you cannot hear a thing when you’re in the room. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Great stay at the Londoner!

What a great hotel! Excellent location, in the heart of Sliema. It's close to the ferry to Valetta and surrounded by restaurants, shops and pubs. The breakfast at this hotel is a full British breakfast. Given the option, choose a seaview room..great view and noise ‐proof balcony doors. Staff are so helpful, especially Jose (Joseph). He goes out of his way to welcome and assist guests with any problems and suggestions to enjoy the visit.

Great hotel

Great hotel in a great location. It feels brand new and although when we first arrived we were worried about the noise from the busy bar (we arrived about 9pm), the soundproofing is fantastic and we honestly couldn’t hear a thing in our room (we were on floor 6 at the front of the building). And we actually liked the vibrant bar downstairs and drank there both nights and had some food too. Really good live singers on the first night and a dj on the next. The team were welcoming and spent time to show us information about the island on the big touchscreen in reception.

I was on the 7th floor directly above the bar. Although noisy outside, it was quiet in the room with the window shut. Room was quite warm without a fan/a-c being available on the first night, but this was then switched on for the summer on the next night. Ceilings were completely undecorated with grey bricks and beams showing. Very efficient shower. Breakfast was very good. TVs in the bar area had sports channels, but these were not available in the room. This was a bit odd because no-one actually watched the TV in the bar, and it would be impossible to hear anything anyway with the overly loud noise.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was generous and yummy.There was construction at night around the hotel, 1 am for drilling not too fun,. I guess there is not too much to do about that:)

Overall nice place to stay in a busy town. Sea view had lovely view across to Valletta. Room was spacious and clean. Bit of noise from bars below and road but of you are higher up or city view it should be ok. Few niggles in bathroom but it was spacious and clean. only real problem was the lack of hot water on some occasions. Continental breakfast was great with pleanty of fresh food. kitchen looked really clean and tidy. They did a great choice of meals in the evening if you want but there are loads of eateries along the front to chose from. Busses and boats were readily available to make it easy to get around. All staff were great.

Lovely stay. Hotel is in a wonderful position, close to bars, and 5 minutes walk to a dozen or more further restaurants and bars. It is just 5 minutes walk to the ferry too and the bus stops. Staff were so helpful and friendly; rooms were spotless; breakfast was plentiful. However, the view from our room really made our stay: right across to Valletta which lit up at night. Really enjoyed our stay.
