Fantastic place to stay! It’s very clean and comfortable and has everything you need. We enjoyed the view and the peacefulness. It’s a perfect location to go north into Oregon and then further south in California. The hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay! Lovely home on a safe, beautiful road with distant views of the ocean. This is a perfect location for exploring the redwoods in N CA as well as Samuel Boardman/Brookings. Responsive and pleasant host.Very well, equipped kitchen and bathroom. QUIET… Slept like a baby every night with the windows open. Will definitely be back.

We were very pleased with our 2-night stay here. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance of the building. This is one of the best equipped, roomy & most comfortable places we have stayed. Everything was immaculate. While some of the furniture may be a bit dated, it is all well maintained and fully functional. The location is very nice with views of the ocean and a large salt marsh. During our stay, we observed a fox, wild turkey & raccoon, as well as a variety of birds in the yard. This is a perfect home base for visiting the Redwoods.

The cabin was charming with a beautiful view! The kitchen had many spices to use for cooking and a charcoal grill, which is a major plus while traveling. Wonderful experience!

This home is a peaceful gem!!!

This quiet comfortable stay greatly exceeded our expectations! First of all, we could see the ocean waves crashing into the waters of the smith river right from the dining area! The house is impeccably clean, and the hosts have provided every detail to make you feel welcome and at home (lots of bedding, towels, dishes, lighting…even a box of Kleenex in every room!)(a little detail that many homes lack!) We were so spoiled with the peace and quiet…made it hard to appreciate our next stay at a hotel up the coast. We wanted to come back to smith river!!

The Best Cabin!

This cabin is plain on the outside but beautiful inside! It is pristine and well-stocked with dishes, cookware, towels, you name it! It has a huge washer and dryer which is convenient when you're traveling. It has 2 TVs. Its perfectly situated above the Smith.River which you can glimpse from the large windowes. The location of the cabin is perfect for exploring redwoods to the south, and haystacks, sand dunes, and lake country to the north. I had the best time, and my dog didnt want to leave! I would return in a second!

Smith River Comfort

This was my third stay and I love this cozy place to work remotely while i visit my daughter and grand babies. There are places to walk to the ocean and to enjoy incredible views with the privacy and safety that a single traveler really appreciates. LOVE THIS PLACE. I will be back.

It is a great location, loved the little patio, and loved the quiet. The house is super comfortable: big bedroom, kitchen has everything you need to cook or heat up leftovers, good space for watching TV or hanging out. I’m not a fan of Glade air fresheners, but once I put them outside it was fine

Perfect House with Great Location

Our stay at the River Dune was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the property. The decor created a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The location was perfect—nestled in a quiet neighborhood but still conveniently close to Redwoods and about 15 mins drive to Crescent Beach. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, providing thoughtful touches like a welcome basket with Apples and Cookies and clear instructions for everything in the house. One of the highlights was the view from the patio, where we enjoyed morning coffee while enjoying the serene surroundings. The amenities provided were top-notch, including fast Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy living area. Overall, our stay was perfect in every way. We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. We will definitely return.
