Smiths Falls Best Western

Room was very clean and we were fortunate to stay at a quiet time (i.e., other guests were quiet and considerate of others). The bath needs grab bars and toilets are too low (we'reseniors). All staff members we encountered were friendly, courteous and efficient.

The property was very clean & comfortable for a small rural town hotel that was reasonably priced. We were pleasantly surprised after an unfavorable stay in another small town hotel. We would definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you are looking for an affordable hotel.

Door latch was missing parts. Toilet and sink didn't drain well. Sink sideways had water in it and toilet took three flushes. Didn't send any one to take care of it.

Smiths Falls trip

Basic hotel with a standard breakfast included. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel has two stories and no elevator, a problem for anyone with mobility issues. The room was clean and the queen bed comfortable. The toilet was way too low, suitable for children but not really adults. It needs to be replaced.

Wasn’t our best stay. The room was not clean. The blow dryer was never wiped by the looks of it. I took a photo of the dirt underneath the desk. I would recommend something better than the paper voucher for breakfast if it is a concern that people are wandering in off the streets for food. It’s awkward to stop and ask people mid bite for their room number. Change the system if it’s that important to track who is having breakfast. It definitely made me feel unwelcome. Strangely the alarm on the clock went off at 6 a.m. I say strangely because it didn’t go off our first night there. And we didn’t touch the clock. Very odd. For almost $200 a night in that area it was overpriced. The wifi was spotty. It’s in need of updating. I would not recommend.

Good base

Clean and simple. Easy check-in. Pool area was clean and welcome in the heat! No food on site, and only fast food outlets in walking distance. Laundry area was useful!
