I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the property. Vacasa called me when I was 6 hours into my drive to the property to let me know that there was a leak in the kitchen that would be repaired during my stay. Upon my arrival, I was surprised to find that the upstairs bathroom plumbing was leaking into the kitchen ceiling/light fixtures and black mold was present. There was a bucket in the middle of the floor that was half-full of water. The property condition should have been disclosed in advance because this was obviously not a new leak and I was not ok with being exposed to mold. The property management was horrible to deal and it took 4 days for repairmen to finally show up. Then we had to deal with repairmen working inside and around the property for two days. The repairman told us that this issue should have been communicated to them as an emergency, but had not been. We only had 1 full day of being able to use the upstairs master bath and the unit was finally starting to smell better after the mold was remediated. I'm overall disgusted with the experience and won't do business with Vacasa ever again. The views are beautiful here and this could have been a nice vacation if the property had been in acceptable condition.

Nice views, but many tips for future renters

Beautiful views but some things to keep in mind—1. One access door to beach— via a guest room2. No vaccum - lots of sand inside 3. Basic supplies- bring everything; even cleaning supplies, foil, etc4. Couch is being held up by a book as the leg..5. Master bed is a loft.. no door6. Driveway area is oddEasy process to get in

Nice accommodations, and great beach views— but I do think there are some things to note for better stays! The bed in master was comfy! Let people know there is only ONE access point to the beach and it’s through someone’s room. Having some staples would be so helpful with traveling or at least let us know — foil, plastic bags, way more toilet paper and paper towels than provided. There is NO vaccum! So the sand would build up like crazy. The couch was being held up by a book supporting the leg.. Tell people the master has NO DOOR; it’s a loft and there isn’t a big enough closet for pack n play.

Christmas vacation

Property in a nice area, ocean at your doorstep! There were no instructions on how to use the television sets. We were short one washcloth only had three for four people. We contacted vacasa, and we were told to look around the property, which we did. We could not find any more, so we went and bought our own.There was a bag of dirty or clean linens in the laundry room, but I want going to wash someone else’s laundry! The refrigerator and freezer were dirty with someone else’s food, and the refrigerator smelled like bleach. The entire house needs a good scrubbing!!

Renter Beware!

As of 10/19 - when we arrived, we were disappointed to discover that this home has structural damage (stairs to beach are missing) and driveway access is heavily impeded by thick sand. This is our 3rd consecutive year to rent this unit, and neglect is apparent; the kitchen cabinets are a mess of mismatched/broken items, small appliances, utensils, dishes. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom is broken. Otherwise the house is clean, bright and quite livable, if no longer special. Our repeated requests to Vacasa have gone unaddressed.

Lovely House, Unfortunate Victim of Beach Erosion

Our first interaction with Vacasa was…45 minutes before our check-in time, they called to inform us that the stairs leading from the deck to the beach had been wiped out by the last storm and that there was caution tape on the deck. So we would need to use the front door and walk around the house to get to and from the beach (the dunes are unfortunately completely eroded on this property). Not acceptable to not have direct beach access when renting a “beachfront” house. When questioned about the late notification, vacasa stated that the owners had just found out about it. But we later learned from a neighbor that it had happened 3 weeks prior. Poor service to provide such late notice with no alternatives offered. Asked about compensation, but have not yet heard back. Mostly, we liked the property and really enjoyed our visit. The house felt clean and well cared for. The furniture and decorations were lovely - the colors and ocean-themed decor was perfect. Our favorite part were all the decks that overlooked the ocean. Great for watching sunsets while enjoying a cocktail. Loved the bar height chairs on the middle deck, which allowed for an unhindered view of the ocean. Huge TV in living room and WiFi were excellent. Kitchen was very well stocked. This is our feedback for improvement: - No screen door in master bedroom and ripped screens in the windows, so could not open windows; very disappointing because weather was cool and wanted to open windows to hear ocean. - The screen door on the lower deck was missing the handle (making it very hard to open from the outside) and one of the runner wheels was rusted out, so the screen door kept popping out. - As others mentioned, sand in the driveway/garage needs to be cleaned - makes it impossible to avoid getting sand in house, especially without use of back stairs from beach. Hose in garage to wash off feet, but to turn it off, had to walk back through sand… - Low water pressure in master bath sink (shower and kitchen sink were fine - didn’t use other bathrooms to check) - King bed needs king size sheets - it had a queen size flat sheet (which was too small to cover 2 people) and a flat sheet used on the mattress instead of a fitted sheet, which did not fit and couldn’t be tucked in. And the pillows were king sized - with standard size pillow cases. Which meant about 6 inches of the pillow were sticking out uncovered… - Several of the metal fixtures were rusted (curtain rods, metal trash cans) - may be time to replace - House is extremely close to the beach, which is nice for the views/accessibility, but inhibits beach access during high tide, as tide comes all the way up to the house. Dunes eroded - Spent alot of time killing black flies and fruit flies on the main floor. Not sure where the fruit flies were coming from, as we didn’t leave any fruit/food out. The black flies were very annoying out in the beach, as they bite. Guessing they were getting in through the rip on the screen door.

Dream Big is a Big nightmare.

Loved the beach. The house not so much. Rental agency no help. Just robo responses and no one came to address problems. Pealing paint, holes in ceiling, filthy landscape and tons of sand in Car port. House has loads of ants and we’ll roaches which we are told to expect. Won’t return wont rent with vacasa again. Not worth the money spent this time.

Our family had a wonderful week of relaxation at this beautiful home. It was clean, had all of the accommodations we needed, and we loved having three separate balconies to choose from. Being on the beach was amazing. We could walk out the back door, go down the stairs, and we were on the beach. We watched the tide come in, played in the waves, and took long walks on the beach. The upstairs suite was lovely, with its own deck. The main floor had a well equipped kitchen and gorgeous view. Both bedrooms downstairs had their own bathroom, one en-suite, one next door. Lovely, lovely vacation

Loved location and layout of house. However spent much of vacation communicating with vacasa staff and waiting for repairmen. The same day cable and internet was repaired, the air conditioning stopped working and waited another day for that to be repaired. Suggest a routine check by vacasa staff prior to check in to assure these things working. I do want to say that the local vacasa staff was responsive and helpful. However most of my vacation was spent dealing with these problems.

Great Spot

This is an amazing location and Dream Big looks exactly as it does online. The only downside was there was trash, open wires, broken wood and a large broken tv left outside of the house when we first arrived. Vacasa was helpful and attentive when working to contact the local cleaning team to have this removed- it was removed next day. Overall, great spot!
