I rented this cabin for my niece and husband. We had a cabin just down the road. I did read a little too fast and didn't realize I was renting a dry cabin. When my niece checked in this wasn't an issue since they lived in a dry cabin for sometime in Healy. What was concerning was there were no window coverings. Alaskans know that this is important due to the lack of darkness at night. They made due with hanging items they could find. There was also a musty smell to the cabin. On the second morning they discovered the source, a blanket that had been put away wet. They hung it over the porch railing, but the owners never inquired. They reported to me that the cabin seem to be being repaired because of things they found. I did receive a text from the owners when I made my reservation that repairs we being completed and hoped to have them done by check-in. Not sure why they were not completed. Over all my niece reported the owners to be nice and the cabin to be comfortable for their needs.

Dry Comfortable Cabin

A cozy cabin with all the essentials but running water AKA Dry. Comfortable queen bed, pull out couch and a loft with couple of coats which we did not need or used. Small fridge and microwave. Chuck had a freezer in the cabin and allowed us to store our salmon during the stay. Chuck and Dorothy were gracious in setting up a propane cook top outside and also provided a pot, pan, dishes and cutlery which were perfect for the two of us making breakfast and dinner. Soldotna was only 18 minutes by car and fishing was even closer. Would love to enjoy their hospitality next year!
