One month away!
The property is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are incredible, right off to a beautiful beach (too rough to swim in, but beautiful). The neighbours are all incredibly friendly! Pictures on Vrbo are exactly what you will get when you arrive at the condo.
A few things to keep in mind, you absolutely do need transportation, although the owner will tell you, you do not. It is approximately 6 KM to the town of Cabarete, but you need to go through a small community that you do not want to be walking in at night. Definitely too far to walk for groceries. We had water problems throughout the entire vacation, with leaky faucets as well as the humidifier leaked and we had 4 floods to clean up. The kitchen sink faucet sprays water all over and the fridge leaked water on the shelves. Although the owner did end up getting some of this taken care of, it was into our third week at the condo. Pots and pans are peeling and not truly safe to use. There is one toilet roll per bathroom to get started for a vacation, no hand soap, dishwashing, pods, laundry detergent to get started. The towel rack that is used to dry anything as there is no dryer, is very rusty, hence the rust marks on the towels. You definitely want to put money away for the electricity as it is very expensive. If all the problems were taken care of and if the pots and pans were replaced along with cutting boards, a few days worth of supplies, we would definitely return.
