The check in was longer than usual, which we understood as the staff was on the phone with what sounded like a difficult call. But still it took almost 20 minutes. After checking in, we all got ready for the pool, only to find out when attempting to enter that it was currently not working. Big bummer for the kids. A heads up would have been great during check in as their hand written sign said “pool open” along with the listed hours. The staff was great and considerate to discuss an accommodation to our stay, but said the manager would need to approve in the morning. The morning came, the manager didn’t come in during normal shift and the staff said the manager was supposed to be in at 8 but said they were coming in late. So no accommodation was given. The room also had very wet carpeting all around the AC unit. The room was clean and the breakfast was good, but I’ll likely skip another stay with Holiday Inn’s.

the hotel was good overall the staff was very nice and friendly extremely helpful and polite from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff. they were all very wonderful. the pool was unavailable for a period of time due to maintenance but overall the stay was very nice.

I stayed here because of deteriorating weather conditions, but its Elkhart so I opted for a reputable chain on the outskirts of "little Chicago." It was clean, but...... Walls are so thin I could hear the neighbors poop plop in the toilet. Standing in the room looking at the entry door, you could see light all the way around the door. The breakfast attendant was nowhere to be found, but then again neither were the plates, eggs, or napkins, and the oatmeal and the toppings were hard and crusty; except the cinnamon it poured out all over my beige work pants because the lid wasnt on all the way. Rest of the staff was great! Check in was terribly slow despite the reservation.
