Tahoe modern 3BR near ski & lake

Escape to our modern Tahoe retreat! This newly remodeled 3BR/2BA home is the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, but only 3 min. to the lake, 10 min. to Heavenly or the casinos. Unwind in the deep soaking jetted tub, warm up in front of the gas stove or work in the dedicated office. Our home has a washer/dryer, EV charger, Peloton bike & patio for your enjoyment. Walk to nearby restaurants, breweries and grocery stores. Your ideal Tahoe getaway awaits! On the first floor, our house has 1 bedroom (queen bed) and a full bath with a deep soaking jetted tub, washer/dryer, a full kitchen and living room. On the second floor is the main bedroom (king size bed), a full bathroom (shower only), a Peloton bike and a small bedroom (pull out twin XL) and an office with a ginormous monitor. All of the lights are dimmable, and some of them can change color from daylight to incandescent. Our house was gutted to the studs and totally renovated in 2023! If you are sick of looking at 1975-era "country bear jamboree" houses and want something modern, light and bright, look no further! This house is our full-time residence, so it is only available when we are travelling elsewhere.

Notes - we have a dog; we will clean the house for you before we leave, but if you have strong allergies to dogs, please take this into consideration before booking.

100% no smoking/vaping anything inside or outside the house (outside is an HOA rule). This house is in an HOA (and City) with very strong VHR restrictions. Do not plan to party here.

The City of South Lake Tahoe requires an in person (or via video) check-in process and requires all renters to sign a "good neighbor contract" which lists the occupancy limits, noise restrictions, restrictions on commercial usage, and trash regulations. Any violation of the "good neighbor contract" has fines starting at $1500.

Amazing Modern Tahoe Chalet in South Lake

My wife and I as well as our two young daughters escaped the Tri-Valley area for a long Valentines/President’s Day weekend in South Lake Tahoe. This trip was our kids’ first ever snow trip, so we wanted a cute place that we could call home for the weekend while we enjoyed the fresh powder. This Sky Meadows chalet fit the bill perfectly. The inside of the cabin has clearly undergone a recent renovation and has a beautiful, modern aesthetic with tons of “smart home” features like power blinds, auto lights, a remote gas fire with thermostat control and more. I quite enjoyed the owner’s taste in art pieces that are perfectly curated throughout the space as well. The Sky Meadows community is a beautiful, very tranquil/quiet, clearly HOA preserved neighborhood that is close enough a drive to the state line (for activities and dining) but far enough away from the hustle and bustle chaos of Heavenly Village…I would call it the perfect spot for a south lake family getaway. The back deck area behind the chalet has plenty of space for us to play in the snow, and just one more row of cabins down, there was a huge open meadow area covered with fresh snow where we played all weekend. During our stay, the owner was great at communicating through the VRBO chat feature…we were quite late arriving Friday evening due to traffic on Hwy 50, but the cabin was ready to go for us on arrival—bedding, towels, and heater on, all ready to use! I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this property!
