Checking in was a little unusual limited. The girl was really nice. She’s the one that told me I had double booking and I called Expedia. She was nice. The electricity went out that night and from that point on I didn’t wanna be there. They had some rough people there staying there throw pool furniture in the pool Without an air condition or a light. It’s undesirable. I expect a refund.

Front desk staff were to tell us different information. Originally I had booked a stay for two nights and then wanted to add a third night. I was informed that this wasn’t a problem. However, they wanted me to check in twice and leave my credit card twice and show my ID twice. OK that’s annoying and unnecessary, but then the room was not clean. As a matter of fact the furniture was so stained that we wouldn’t even touch the couch. Luckily the sheets were clean however they were also stained. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. We got room 102 which had a jetted bathtub in it. However, the tub did not have hot water and when I tried to address it with the staff, they simply told me that I should’ve addressed it a long time ago. I’m not sure how I could do that since I’ve never been at this hotel before. Additionally, while I was there the room had an overpowering chemical smell. So I had to keep the window opened so I didn’t get a headache, even though it was hot outside. At one point I was getting ready by the mirror, and I noticed a person peeking in through the window, literally leaning their face against the screen in order to see inside. It was creepy and gross. In retrospect, I should’ve called the police. I did talk to the front desk and they brushed it off and as a matter of fact, even though it was on camera, they tried to tell me I was lying. Although I felt safe in the community, I did not feel safe there because he could have slashed open that screen in a second.

First of all, Expedia and this property knew that I had double booked by accident. No one stopped me from that happening. Nobody contacted me second of all I get there and then the room they put me in the bed felt like the mattress hadn’t been changed ever like a big heavyset person slept in. It towels were terrible And then their AC went out after the first night being there. I’m hoping that I get reimbursed can’t get a hold of Expedia cause I don’t have a one 800 number and the property manager wasn’t much helpful. Much more help. I’ll never go there again and I do have some thugs that stay there

Expected so much more from a highly rated property. Extremely inconvenient parking that requires carrying luggage a long way, narrow stairwell to the top floor at far end of horseshoe shaped courtyard makes carrying luggage a chore, no luggage carts available, noise from pool until 10+ p.m., rattling AC cover required some ingenuity to improve, bathroom exhaust so anemic that steam stayed in room, slightly damp feeling bedding, no light switch near the beds, just a single bedside table for a room with 2 beds, small table with 2 chairs so squeezed into a corner that one chair was unusable, sandy floor. Will never stay there again!

Updated clean comfortable hotel with thin walls

Hotel was very recently updated and the staff was super friendly. It was clean and comfortable, although the bed was a bit soft for my liking. Only issue we had was the room next-door blasted Tejano music until 2 AM.

The excellent stuff: cordial front desk clerk, newly renovated clean room, comfortable bed, small couch big enough for two, plenty of room, easy to find, plenty of parking, the pool looked nice although I did not partake, and walking distance to several restaurants, bars, and a grocery store. A few small but non problematic surprises: no Kleenex, the mini fridge did not have a freezer compartment, and there was no desk (I did have a bit of computer work to do). Why I won't return: one of the guests was blasting his bass until 2 or 3 AM and the AC didn't work properly. The thermostat said 72 but the room was hot. No way it was less than 77. I turned the thermostat down to 70 and the display just said Wait. I tried turning the fan on but it just blew hot air. Eventually, maybe 15 min later, the AC came on, ran for a while, and shut off. So once I actually got to sleep, I would sleep for 20 min, wake up because I was hot, wait for my turn to get AC, fall back asleep, and wake up 20 min later because I was cold. Just couldn't get it dialed in.
