The property is a bit older, but it is very accommodating very clean. Staff was so friendly and there is golf cart rentals ice cream shops Dollar General within one block of the hotel and the beach is right behind the hotel! Beautiful views

It was a comfortable stay with a friendly and helpful staff. I would suggest changing the wristband to something less metallic and shiny as many of the guests visit the beach. A shiny metallic wristband could be mistaken for a fish by a shark.

Did not enjoy our stay. Staff was very rude and would joke about it afterwards. The hotel looked very old and broken. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. The only reason decided to stay in the first place was because of how close the beach was. Will not be staying there again.

Better than expected

The room was exactly what we expected and worth the price (compared to other rates on the island). The tub faucet/shower pipes were loose in the wall and moved around, but it’s an old hotel. You can tell the owner tries to keep things updated and working. The AC worked amazingly, very cold all weekend! The only negative would be the ‘breakfast’ on weekends. First, there isn’t enough seating. Second, there were very little options (sausage biscuit, cereal) and no options for those with food allergies. We ended up getting breakfast from the store to eat. I’m not sure if the appliances worked… the fridge did. And when you opened the dishwasher, there was an out of order sign on it. No utensils, but there were plates/glasses/cups. Very friendly staff. Clean, and no water bugs.

I’m very impressed with all of the updates that the owners are making to the property. I really liked the new beds and refrigerator. I saw more employees working in maintaining the property clean. Breakfast could have a little more variety. Otherwise I really like staying here for a quick getaway.

Old dirty couch to sit on. Bathroom toilet kept running the first night. Come to find out when I looked into it. There was a smoke bottle getting stuck in there. Someone was hiding there habit if you know what I mean.
