To arrive at Bramley pod, once you enter the gate, you will be exploring nature as you arrive down a grass-lined country lane. Sleeping four people in two bedrooms, it’s ideal for small families or groups who are searching for a stylish off-grid retreat to call home while they discover Robin Hood Country together. Wake up and head into Southwell (1 mile) to discover its medieval minster and check out its quaint shops and cafes. While you’re there, make an emotive pitstop at the National Trust’s Workhouse, the most complete surviving workhouse in England. Further afield, go into Nottingham (14.5 miles) to explore its castle, or let the kids go wild in the play areas at Sherwood Pines Forest Park (10 miles). Closer to home, head off for a round at Norwood’s golf course and then stop off in the clubhouse for a drink or two.
