The hotel was perfect, it was exactly like the pictures, from the moment I got off the ferry in Hvar, I was greeted my a member of staff who took my bags to the hotel, it is 10 minute walk alone the shore line to the hotel, at reception I was greeted by lovely staff, I was shown to my sea view room, all the staff were very nice and helpful, breakfast has something for everyone, good selection of food and drink in the hotel, the pool area is lovely and you are right beside the sea, it is a very relaxed hotel and is ideal for all types of visitors. If I was going back to Hvar I would stay in the hotel again.

Amfora is a well known hotel in Hvar and it is very big. Overall, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had one occasion where we were told different things by different staff members but it was resolved. My partner upgraded the room for my birthday to a sea view which did not let us down. It was truly something to sit in bed and look straight out across the pool and sea. We were able to get breakfast delivered to the room for a small fee (100kuna) by filling in a card on the back of the door. The hotel has some lovely features although is a little dated and could do with some updating. Just scuffs and scratches here and there. Although I believe they may be refurbishing over winter. The pool area is great, we used the swim up bar and ordered food to our sunlounger. Although it does get very busy there are plenty of It is located a good 15 minute walk from the centre of Hvar town so be prepared to do a good walk each way! Only downfall was the bathroom, our toilet continuously ran, which was noisy and the tap soaked everything due to the high water pressure and small sink. This just caused some annoyance over 3 days. We also found it to be quite noisy late at night due to people returning back to the hotel. As Hvar is known for its lively nightlife this was expected but the corridors are not big so it felt like someone was in the room with you if they were talking/singing as they walked past.

Good hotel. Location good, 5-10 min walk from the main town and port area. Hotel meet you at the ferry and take your bags to hotel so you can enjoy the walk along the bay.

Huge hotel next to the beach

Hotel too large and impersonal for my liking. Looked in need of a coat of paint outside, but interiors all refurbished. Rooms spacious, comfortable and clean. Lots of choice at breakfast.
