Check in staff was horrible, he seemed inconvenienced by having to get off the couch and get off his phone. Later I came down to the desk with a question and he was on his phone again and wouldn't even acknowledge me, I just left. I will not be back to this motel again!

The room was very clean and quiet, which made for a comfortable stay. The price was super affordable and included breakfast with a couple of different food choices. Not a huge spread, but definitely enough to fill your belly. I also appreciated that the pool was open until midnight since most places close by 10. The gym was small but functional, perfect for getting in a quick workout. If I had to nitpick, the parking lot could use better lighting and the doors to the inside/outside could be in better working condition. Other than that, the place was absolutely worth the stay.

The inside of the room was super musty, almost as if someone had smoked in there in the past. There were stains on the carpet, super old paint and holes in the walls, the towel rack was coming apart, and dog hair on the comforter. The breakfast was extremely minimal. Staff at the location were not rude, but they exhibited absolutely no interest in being at work either.

HEALTH AND FIRE SAFETY CONCERNS

(see included pictures) Minor issues: Coffee maker did not work, A/C sounded like it was struggling and made terrible noises most of the night, bathtub drained slowly while showering so that I was standing in 3-4 inches of water. Moderate problems: Mold/mildew clearly visible in large sections of the bathroom (health issue). Severe concerns: Smoke detector looked old. Upon inspection was not plugged in to hard wire connector and had no battery in backup slot. Model (BRK 4120B) was manufactured between 1998-2003, then discontinued. Product page and manual: https://support.brkelectronics.com/s/active-product/a3J4x0000020RdDEAU/4120-4120b-4120sb - You can see the manual is dated from 2000 (pg. 22) This electronics database shows the product matching the picture we took: https://www.electrical-forensics.com/SmokeAlarms/Brand/BRK/4120/BRK-4120.html - The page highlights that the model was replaced in 2004. These issues were reported to the manager who was dismissive and not reassuring. I have stayed at many Super 8 and other hotels without similar issues. Please avoid this hotel until your safety can be guaranteed. If you need to stay there, check that the smoke/fire alarms have been replaced throughout.

Quick overnight stay and parking

Met the owner, very nice fellow. Seems to care about his staff and hotel. Nice chat about the property. Hotel is clean and nicely equipped. Took advantage of the parking offer and transfers for a very early morning flight. Would definitely stay again.
