The Perry Canary is a newly renovated 1907 yellow craftsman home in the South Perry District- the most walkable neighborhood in Spokane! Walk or ride bikes just 3 blocks to get coffee, smoothies, pizza, etc. This home is family friendly, but also a great spot for an adult getaway. Enjoy the fully fenced yard and bright and modern interior that still has lots of it's original character preserved. We know you'll enjoy it as much as we do!
The main level includes a beautiful open concept floor plan that includes a living and dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and den. The den has seating, a TV, and a table arcade with games such as PacMan and Galaga! The den can also serve as a bedroom- we have an air mattress and curtains to serve as a "door" and give privacy. The bathroom is accessible from both the den and the kitchen. You can take a bath or shower in the classic clawfoot tub! There's also a mud room off the kitchen that leads to a screened in porch with some seating. You can come and go through this door to get to the backyard.
Upstairs includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is huge and has a king bed, desk, walk in closet, and its own bathroom with a double vanity, shower, and freestanding tub. The second bedroom has two twin beds, but you can push them together and use the bed bridge we have to make it a comfortable king bed. The sweet reading nook has a toddler mattress, but we don’t recommend children sleeping on it since there aren’t rails. There's a "secret" kids room through the closet with toys good for toddler/early elementary age kids. The third bedroom is small but cozy with a queen bed, dresser, and clothes rack. The hall bath includes a shower and stackable washer and dryer.
Our home has a fully fenced yard with lots of space to play. There is a grill and upon request, we will put out the fire pit with 6 chairs. Plenty of on-street parking.
We're so excited to host you! We live nearby and can be available during your stay. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
A local Spokane blogger visited our home and wrote a post about it! She also interviewed the previous owner to get more history of the home and its renovation. If you're interested, search "at home in love perry canary" (VRBO hides direct website links).
