Communication with the host was not good. Two messages were never responded too, not a huge deal but an annoyance. The property was clean but run down. Old kitchen, stained furniture, the bathroom door doesn't close well(which is stated in another review and yet nothing has been done to resolve the issue), the main door could easily be pushed open even if it's locked and the bathroom needs more work. Blame it on ignorance that I didn't realize what was happening until I researched it during my travels home, but the bed was infested with fleas. The first night I woke up with loads of small itching red bite clusters all over my legs. So bad that I ended up having to drive to the store for itch cream. The second night I didn't last more than 30 minutes in bed before having to get out. From then on, I slept with socks, pants and sprayed my legs with bug repellant. Luckily I figured it out before returning home as I was able to drop my luggage off to have everything properly cleaned. Other issues with the property is the lack of exterior lights. The motion sensor light near the stairs to the entrance does not turn on until you are already up several stairs and there is no light along the side of the house to the driveway. The tile or fake tile flooring in the bathroom is cracked near the toilet and is razor sharp. The shower fixtures don't work properly and the water pressure is laughable. The only good part of the property is the location, only reason for 2 stars vs 1 star
