The pool is not heated as said. The breakfest coffee is simple and the staff satyed all the time chating in the room. This is not professional. The room is old and the price is high for what is offered

The property was close to downtown, it is in a convenient location, close to malls, restaurants and other businesses especially since we drove there. Here are my reasons for a poor rating: 1. The room was advertised as a deluxe suite, my impression of a suite is two separate rooms. Possibly a bedroom and a living area with a pull out bed. We traveled as a family. What I got was a bedroom with two queen beds and a coach/pullout bed. The front desk was called to clarify, for the price I paid I expected a suite. We were told that is a suite and every hotel is different. Within 20 minutes the manager called the room stating that he was told we had a complaint and he wanted to discuss the issue (he was pleasant to communicate with). However, a clarification is not a complaint and we did not ask to speak with a manager. We wanted to know if the incorrect room was assigned, as that room was not a suite, even if the word deluxe is used. 2. We ask daily for tissue 3. No housekeeping came to the room. 4. We had to ask for towels. We were told to leave the dirty ones outside the room and housekeeping would pick them up, no one did, even when we were checking out, the towels were still there. 5. Our room key was deactivated on the second night. We were locked out of the room. We had to go to the front desk and reactivated them. I work as a receptionist and reservationist for 6 years. I do know every hotel is different, but I also know that customer service should be the same.

I was quite disappointed with our stay. Common areas were dirty and there was a persistent smell through out the whole building. Both times we went to the pool there were no towels and we ended up having to walking to the desk dripping wet to ask for some. There was also a decent amount of debris floating in the pool that should have been skimmed out. Breakfast was also highly disappointing. They kept running out of things and not replacing them. I got to the end of finally making a waffle for my daughter after having to find someone to refill the waffle batter and there was no syrup left except for a huge sticky puddle under the dispenser as it leaked. The counters, floors and tables were dirty and not just dirty from that day but clearly needed extra attention. We had a pull out couch for my son. I had requested extra pillows and blankets beforehand. When I double checked when we were checking in, they handed me a pile with one pillow and a thin blanket while I am juggling all of our stuff and three kids alone. My son was freezing and uncomfortable all night as a comforter wasn't provided for the pull out. We were provided 3 bath towels for all 4 of us but we made it work using the smaller hand towels. The tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles were almost completely empty which lead to me having to go request more while on a deadline to get everyone ready to leave. I have stayed at other La Quinta hotels and have been satisfied but this one was poorly run and not clean.
