This large and well-appointed house, set just off the ocean's edge, is located on desirable Rackliff Island in St George, near the village of Spruce Head and Port Clyde. The island is accessible via a car-driven causeway. Private yet close to Rockland and Camden, this spectacular property has wonderful views of the ocean and beach access directly across from it.

The incredible, cascading landscape provides a nice retreat for walks around the property or s'mores at the fire pit while being on a quiet dirt road away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. This peaceful setting allows privacy and enjoyment for larger or multiple families with an adjoining guest apartment above the garage. The spacious new bathrooms and living area are ideal for family getaways. The house is located 20 minutes from downtown Rockland and 30 minutes from downtown Camden; The Jewell provides an oasis to recharge. 

Walking into the house, guests are welcomed by a large screened-in porch directly off the kitchen and laundry area. A formal and informal dining area leads into the open-concept living room with a large TV with basic cable. The living area has a wood-burning fireplace and comfortable furnishings throughout. The first-floor queen bedroom has direct access to the deck; there is also a full bathroom on the main floor with a walk-in shower. The wrap-around porch is perfect for cocktails or coffee while enjoying the lovely ocean breeze.

The second floor has three bedrooms: one queen bedroom and two king bedrooms. The primary king bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a custom tiled glass shower, double sinks, a small sitting/office area, and a large closet. The TV in the sitting area has basic cable and streaming services. The second full hall bathroom has a soaking tub/shower combination. 

The second-floor guest apartment, available mid-June to mid-October (depending on temperatures; the end of September is guaranteed availability), has a kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator and stove, a coffee pot, and dining service for 4. The main living area has a 2-person cafe-style table and a futon couch. The TV has basic cable services. The guest bedroom has a queen and twin beds, and a full bathroom directly outside the bedroom with a stall shower. 

Please remember that this house is on an island, and water conservation is appreciated. 
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be close to Birch Point Beach. Breakfast (surcharge) and laundry facilities are available. Enjoy your stay with amenities like a kitchen and 4 bathrooms in the vacation home.
