Welcome to the Salt Run Cottages. These two, side by side cottages were constructed as some of the original ‘transient’ rentals in the 1930s long before vacation rentals were a household name. Completely reimagined and renovated in 2026 to provide an open, modern floor plan and high end finishes. These quaint but complete cottages beckon you. As the name suggests, these cottages are located less than 50 yards from the beautiful waters of Salt Run which is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.
Perfectly located central to everything St. Augustine has to offer. You are exactly 1 mile to downtown St. Augustine including the historic corridor and top restaurants. You’re right around the corner from the Lighthouse, Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine Amphitheater and about 3 miles from the main St. Augustine Beach.
This listing is for the Pelican's Perch Cottage. A modern coastal style retreat. Enter to a full kitchen with a fridge/freezer, full size stove & oven, microwave and dishwasher. Cook full meals while enjoying the bar seating on the 8’ quartz peninsula. Additional appliances include a coffee maker, toaster, blender and electric kettle.
Opposite the kitchen is an open concept living room with couch & smart TV. The couch can convert to a pull-out bed to accommodate more guests. Note: this is a somewhat small space. It was designed to accommodate two adults very comfortably. We do permit up to four guests but make sure you’re comfortable sharing a small space as the pull out couch takes up the majority of the living room area.
When it’s time to rest, a single bedroom with queen bed and second TV is located just off the living room.
The cottage is also complete with a full bathroom with a beautiful rain shower head.

The cottages have access to a waterfront platform deck that looks over beautiful Salt Run and is located about 50 yards down the dead end road. The deck has Adirondack chairs & loungers to soak up some sun, enjoy a morning coffee or an evening cocktail after a fun day exploring. Lovely ocean breezes, frequent dolphin sightings and bird watching are favorite activities. The deck is shared between the two cottages.
One dedicated parking space is provided directly in front of the cottage.
