Checking in was easy. Staff was polite. The room was cleanish. My feet stuck to the floor, maybe from cleaning products used on the floor. Bathroom walls were dirty. I was in town for a concert. By the time we got back to our room it was after 1 AM and unable to watch TV. The remote would not work. Front desk said they would look in to it in the morning. Maybe there is a timer on the TV to help with noise control after a certain time but there could be a notice of some sort. My experience in whole was not welcoming or comfortable.

Got what we paid for. Room was fairly clean. The bathroom could’ve used a good scrub and deep cleaning. Location was kind of tucked away and property was not super well maintained, but if you’re looking for somewhere “safe,” that is not going to break the bank, this place isn’t bad. I’ve definitely stayed in worse.

We enjoyed our stay, the hotel is near a train station so you do hear trains at times. Also, the hallway smelled like marijuana, not surprised as it’s legal in MN.

Not in the greatest shape

The biggest issue we had was that the drains in both the sink and the tub were plugged and water quickly filled them up during use. I don’t believe it’s possible to have cleaned them without realizing there was a problem. When we first used the sink, little black facial hairs came back up and filled the sink. We were also disappointed that there was no hand soap, no tissues and only one garbage can. The floors were vinyl and all of shoes ended up sticky from walking on them. I wanted to let management know about these things when we left but there was no one at the desk - just a basket to leave keys in. We immediately realized that we had forgotten something in the room so we went back to get our key from the basket but it wouldn’t work and no one at the desk to ask for help.

Older hotel but wow! Updated, clean and great value! New door locks, new a/c, carpet replaced with solid surface floors, new drapes all contribute to not having the smells of older, stale smoke filled hotels. At prices per room, probably best value in the area. Very impressed and satisfied.

The property looks old. But rooms were very clean and spacious. Beds were clean and comfy and theres were lots of channel options. The only complaint we had was our room keys were deactivated before the 11am check out time.
