A beautiful, homely cottage in the Cornish countryside only 5 miles from a beach, this is the perfect base for friends or family (plus two furry family members) to enjoy North Cornwall. With a pretty garden, a wood burner, and local amenities nearby it’s an ideal getaway at any time of year.

The cottage has bags of charm and relaxed style, with contemporary interiors, and original features. Kick back and relax in the gorgeous living room, with a wood burner in the exposed brickwork fireplace, wooden beams, and comfy sofas, watch the Smart TV or listen to some music. Start the day with a Lavazza coffee, the contemporary kitchen has everything you need to cook up tasty meals, and a lovely, rustic dining table to sit and enjoy them. Upstairs are the two inviting bedrooms, a pretty, king-size room, and a cute twin, which is perfect for kids. The bathroom, with a rolltop bath and separate shower, is stunning. Heading outside, soak up the sun in the enclosed garden where your pups can roam freely.

Being in the heart of the countryside in a small hamlet, there are beautiful country walks from the door. St Columb Major is about 2 miles away, home to a bakery, cafes, pubs, and a fish and chip shop. Visit the owl sanctuary and animal park (5 miles away), the fun park and pony centre (4 miles) and the water sports park (4 miles). St Mawgan is 3 miles down the road and the beach at Mawgan Porth 5 miles, a beautiful sheltered, sandy beach where you can go surfing, swimming, and rock pooling, and your canine companions are welcome all year. Foodie heaven Padstow (9 miles) and surfing mecca Newquay (9.5 miles) are nearby, as is the incredible Eden Project (13.5 miles).
