The Trails Retreat

The Trails Retreat has been a popular and exciting getaway since the summer of 2006. Many satisfied groups look forward to returning year after year with some coming more than once a year. It is nestled in the rugged Saint Croix Valley of Wisconsin, just across the Minnesota border. Create your own special event, make it a mother/daughter weekend or a Bachelorette party, a seminar and even a girls getaway with massages, manicures, catering, etc. Let us help you make it happen. The retreat is conveniently located close to the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul and easily accessible to guests from Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Amazing place

We had 13 people from 7 years old to 55 years old. Everyone enjoyed the large spaces. The stitch room was always in use. Plenty of sleeping space. All we wanted was to hang out with our kids and grandkids in between adventures, and it fit the bill perfectly. Thanks for a wonderful getaway.

Great place. We lik d the late check out as it enabled us to spend Sunday morn and afternoon here.

Nice curb appeal. Comfortable beds. Great shower. We did not use craft room for crafts but stored our ice chests there and it was another place to spread out to play games or visit. We made a make shift fireplace in driveway with owners permission.

Family Christmas

We had so much fun at this property! We enjoyed the early check-in option and the later check out time as we we were coming from different directions at different times. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. We enjoyed using the retreat area for family games, movie night, and exchanging gifts. We had a blast with all the single beds — it was like having a slumber party with your family. The location was easy to find and felt very private.

Excellent large house

This was by far the nicest property I have ever stayed at. The house was spacious and the grounds as well. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils for cooking for a crowd.

Loved our stay

Our family of 12 sisters and daughters had an excellent time at this s property. Loved the homey little touches-bedside tables next to each bed, tons of towels and blankets and hooks on the wall to hang stuff.
