This ground floor, 3-bedroom/2-bath cottage is an ideal coastal getaway with the amenities you need, all in a comfortable, peaceful space with an island-vibe feeling. This cute, bright cottage is ideal for for families, couples or friends. Amenities include all new appliances in the fully-remodeled cottage, WiFi, new furnishings, tasteful decorations, large screened patio, an outdoor kitchen, 26" charcoal Weber grill, decks, fire pit, outdoor seating and living space and an outdoor shower.
Just 2/10 of a mile from the beach, yet close to the restaurants, shops, the lighthouse and island center, you'll find St. George Island Cottage to be a quaint, quiet and lovely place to spend your vacation.
All facets of this clean, well-maintained cottage have been recently remodeled. The expansive deck on the front and fully-screened back patio with an outdoor kitchen and grill allow you to enjoy outdoor living, island-style.
Whether you’re relaxing indoors or planning your day, the awesome climate control keeps things comfortable, year 'round. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and in the living/dining room provide additional comfort.
This house offers a perfect blend of comfort and ease, making it a great choice for your next getaway.
The owners are available to answer any questions that you have...there if you need them, out of the way if you don't. As residents of St. George Island, they love the island and region and are happy to provide recommendations and suggestions to make your stay here as enjoyable as possible.
The front entrance to the cottage has 3 steps onto the deck. The front deck has seating for 8 in our comfy deck chairs. When you enter the cottage through the front door, you enter the living and dining area. To the left are 2 of the bedrooms (each with queen-sized beds) and a bathroom with walk-in shower. Through the dining area is the small-but-mighty kitchen. With new appliances and a great selection of kitchen tools, you'll be able to cook, if you are so inclined. Leaving the kitchen you descend 3 steps into the lower level, with includes the third bedroom (with a triple bunk bed - one full bed and one bunk bed with full on the bottom and twin in the top), a bathroom with a walk-in shower and the washer and dryer. A door leaving the lower area takes you to the back deck which is fully screened and has flat-screen TV, seating and an outdoor kitchen (includes a 22" griddle, an air-fry oven, a skink, refrigerator and counter space). Just beyond the deck, is a 26" Charcoal Weber grill, fire pit, fish cleaning station and landscaped backyard.
The St. George Island Cottage was originally built in the 1960s, which is why it is ground level and not on stilts. This makes coming and going much easier! The Cottage has been remodeled numerous times over the years, most recently in 2024-2025. Upgrades include:
New Heart of pine flooring
New Tongue and groove ceilings throughout
New Whirlpool stack-able washer and dryer
New Induction stove with convection and air fry
New refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher and microwave
New Vent hood with fan
New Kitchen cabinets with cypress frames
New Butcher block counter tops
New smart TVs in all bedrooms and living room

The beach is 2/10 of a mile (about a 3 minute walk) and there is an easy beach access ramp with no stair, making a beach trip extra easy and fun! Also nearby is Regatta Park, a great spot for fishing, kayaking, picnicking, relaxing and enjoying the bay.
The Cottage is 2.5 miles from island center, where you'll find the infamous St. George Island Lighthouse, restaurants, gift shops, fishing shops, bike and kayak rentals, a small grocery store and a variety of other island businesses.
Crossing the bridge brings you to Eastpoint and a second bridge to Apalachicola, both coastal towns are known for a variety of great food, fishing and fun!
Whether you are visiting St. George Island for the expansive beaches, or the active local music scene, nature watching or water sports, St. George Island Cottage is a great place to base yourself!
