The beds need to be replaced, they weren’t very comfortable. But the view of the lake made up for it. the hotel provided chairs on the balcony, but the balcony was not private, it was shared with 2 other rooms, which were occupied. The walls are thin and we could here the neighbors below us talking.

The room smelt like an old wet basement sprayed with air freshener. The hot tub had 'non-slip' strios in it that had seen way better days, I had to sit on a towel in the water. The room was warm so we used the air conditioner, that was right by the head of the bed, that was loud and it would go on and off all night. Slept bad. Would not stay here again.

Hotel was pretty good. Very decently priced. The beds were fine, not the best if the best but fine for the short trip. Really the only complaint was the AC was a little loud. But if that’s my only complaint then I would say that’s a win.

Overall the property is nice. Close to where we wanted to be. With the event happening the weekend we were there the price tripled. The breakfast was average. Past dated yogurt in the fridge and some of the bread was stale. The room overall was good. It is definitely dated and more attention to cleaning would be better.

Northern lights were seen there. Not by us, but other's saw them. No microwave. Shower curtain was way too long so had to "rig" it to be shorter. Great water pressure. Great views. Firepit was awesome. Met some nice people at the fire. Breakfast was pretty good and not too crowded. Desk folks were nice. Would've let us check in early but rules are rules. 4.0 Stars in my book.

Good Amenities - OK Condition

The stay was ample and conveniently located. It was Very warm in the hallways upstairs, not sure what was going on there, but the A/C in the room was nice and cold. The amenities are pretty neat and even had campfire pits with wood to use. The hot tub was nice, could’ve been hotter (but that’s me). The carpets are due for replacing in the hallways. The price seemed a little on the high end for the condition, especially with a much cheaper motel option across the street, but the amenities came through here. Front desk and breakfast service was excellent.

I needed a place to stop for the night, and was able to make a reservation at 8pm for a 9pm arrival. The hotel is older, but it was clean, bed was comfortable, and I was able to park my 26ft U-Haul with no problem. The office staff was very helpful, and breakfast & coffee were good, also. Great little spot by the lake, and conveniently located at the I-75 and US Hwy 2 interchange.
