Boasting its ocean views, Captain’s Rest is an open plan two-bedroom apartment with on-site parking overlooking the iconic town of St Ives. Flooded with natural light streaming through the large bay window, this beautifully presented holiday home offers the perfect location for guests and their four-legged friends to fully immerse themselves in the Cornish experience. Originally built for a Sea Captain, the design of this apartment takes in the fabulous views from St Ives to Godrevy Lighthouse.

The living room is a relaxing space, featuring soft furnishings in calming blue tones and a decorative original fireplace. Step outside to the communal seating area and enjoy the fresh sea air as the sun sets. Slow mornings can be spent unwinding in front of the 50-inch Smart TV, listening to your favourite music through the iPod dock, or using the binoculars to spot your next coastal destination. The open-plan kitchen and dining area is fully equipped for any occasion, whether it is croissants for breakfast, cream tea in the afternoon, or cooking with fresh local fish in the evening. It includes granite worktops, an electric oven and ceramic hob, a large fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a washer/dryer.

The master bedroom features a double bed and is styled with bright, calming tones that reflect the rest of the apartment - perfect for relaxing with a good book. The twin bedroom, decorated with a nautical theme, offers a cosy and inviting atmosphere. The tiled family bathroom, sand-toned in its design, is fitted with a bath with hand shower, a separate shower, wash hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Birthday break

Stay was excellent, apartment was clean and spotless throughout. Parking space is a bonus in st Ives - however - be aware of the low wall to one side and don’t get caught out and scratch or damage your door. We didn’t but I can easily see it happening
