This traditional 4-storey cottage is a true taste of traditional St Ives. Mermaids Rest is a charming granite cottage, tastefully furnished with original wooden floorboards throughout and white painted walls and rafters. Located in the conservation area of Downalong, it is literally seconds away from the beautiful Harbour beach and a couple of minutes' walk from the surfing paradise of Porthmeor. Close to all the local shops, restaurants and beaches, Mermaid's Rest is within a residential area so is a perfect getaway any time of the year.

Ground Floor
3 steps up from Rose Lane to the hall.
Sitting/dining room. Attractive dual aspect room comfortably furnished with ornamental fireplace, 2 settees, book shelves, TV/DVD, extendable dining table with seating for 6.
Carpeted stairs with handrails down to kitchen. Low headroom at lower end of stairs.

Lower Ground Floor
Kitchen. Spacious room with kitchen table and seating for 4. Ample work surfaces and storage units, fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Separate sink by door to small, shared rear courtyard with space for surfing gear.
Bathroom. Bath with power shower over, WC, sink and heated towel rail.

First Floor
Bedroom 1. King size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, lamp and window to Rose Lane.
Bedroom 2. Twin beds, 2 hanging cupboards, chest of drawers, bedside table and lamp. South facing window to courtyard side.
Separate WC and sink.

Very steep carpeted ladder-style stairs with handrails on both sides to attic room.

Second Floor
Bedroom 3. Twin beds under the eaves in this attractive room with lovely views of the Harbour and Porthminster beach. TV, wardrobe, chest of drawers and chest.

Please note that standard stair gates are not suitable for these staircases, stairs are also very steep and may not be suitable for some.

This cottage offers its guests laundry facilities. The front desk is open around the clock.
