Seconds away from the famous and sandy Porthmeor Beach, Puffin Cottage is a classic characterful fisherman’s cottage nestled in the heart of Downalong, St Ives. This traditional cottage radiates Cornish charm, is spread across three floors and boasts lovely sea views.

Take a step through the narrow-cobbled streets of Downalong and transport yourself to the golden beaches of St Ives, visit the world-renowned Tate Gallery and dine at the many independent restaurants. Puffin Cottage is the perfect base to immerse yourself in that laid back Cornish culture.

The open plan living area joins with the dining space, which seats four. Why not open the stable door and allow the salty air to surround you or peacefully watch the world go by as other holidaymakers explore this historical town? Looking for some entertainment? Switch on the TV or cosy up with a book.

On the ground floor is a modern and well-equipped kitchen, with all you could need to cook up a storm. There is an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and coffee machine.

In addition, there is a bijoux breakfast nook with two chairs situated in the corner.

Puffin Cottage has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has wonderful flexibility and offers a king size bed that can be split to make two twin beds on request. There is also hanging space for clothes.

The playful second bedroom, has a bunk bed perfect for children. There is also a window seat, ideal to soak up those sea views.

The bright family bathroom has a bathtub with a waterfall showerhead. There is also a WC and wash hand basin.

There is a small courtyard outside the front of the house overlooking the iconic Porthmeor Road. Take a seat on the bright and cheerful outside furniture and enjoy a cup of coffee or cocktail in the warmer months.

• Access Statement – Puffin Cottage is accessed via two small steps leading to a stone path followed by a further two steps to the front door. Please note, Puffin Cottage is a traditional cottage the stairs inside may not be suitable for some guests. Please supervise children at all times near stairs.
