Yes, a jeep rental is needed when renting Le Lapin. The roads are all paved to the home, but the last portion of the paved road is a bit bumpy. You will drive around the hillside, which is protected by a guard rail on your way up to the home. Le Lapin is the last home on this access road. There is plenty of parking at the villa.
