My daughter and I took a 4 day trip from Ottawa to St John's in mid-July. Very impressed with the hotel. All staff was attentive and courteous. Room was very clean, comfy mattresses and pillows, everything looked brand new. Lovely room decor. Our room faced the harbour exit, amazing view. Everything in the room is operated from a panel where you insert your key card - lights, fan and AC, blinds. High-tech. Made me feel like I was in Japan. :) The Terre restaurant downstairs is totally a 5-star experience - and I'm a very picky critic. The only downside is there are not many breakfast/ snack/ sandwich places around, and the one in the hotel lobby is extremely expensive. The hotel is on Water Street which is closed off to traffic and completely pedestrian during the summer. The famous Jelly Bean houses are within walking distance. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and we recommend this to anyone visiting St John's. Thank you!

From the moment we checked in, our stay was fantastic! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. The beds are super comfortable. The hotel is so close to everything that we don’t even need to use our car the whole stay. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at the Alt Hotel in St. John’s for 6 days and loved it. The location was amazing, the room was very well laid out and comfortable and the lobby and outdoor area had lots of comfortable places to sit if you didn’t want to be in your room. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
